I also watered the same as khourshed and my gardener told me the light colored stucco on the house is making some of my plants to hot so he moved them around back and there doing better that could b a thought for anyone with brick or any heat drawing siding on your home. I also have tall ceilings and my son hates it when i bring in my house plants....its really his home i live with him. We live in the southern part of the USA and it does get hot here. The tall tops have to be moved around due to the winter heat also and everyone knows hot air rises so you know what I am doing most of the winter but to look at the snow if we ever get any ad sometimes we do its beautiful. Even my son admitted it. I am disabled due to a stupid driver running over me and I was a stay home mom and guess what no SS- social security and ex will not help so I thank God my son is able to take care of him and we don't argue I did not want to give anyone that impression I am elderly and when I am gone he can give them all away but one lol. ( private joke)

Thanks so much again everyone! I really appreciate your kind comments and so happy you like the photographs. It's become a passion with me and the best part is I'm spending lots of time outside at this time of the year when it's easy to let oneself become housebound. David, so nice to 'see' you! So far I've not sold any of these photographs but I'm trying to figure out a way to market them. I was talking to Doug about seeing if I could get a gallery showing at one of our local colleges. I NEED to get out of the blind and get some of these images printed and framed. Mary, thanks so much! coming from you with your very talented professional photographer DH that is a wonderful compliment. Bug, eight Jays!!! How fabu! I've got a mob of them that show up a few times a day here as well. WE also have an enormous flock of American Robins, probably more than a hundred birds that have been roosting in the trees next door and making use of the pond (still not quite frozen over) and bird bath that has a heater in it. It is an odd irruption year for many species. I've a friend in the Carolinas who hasn't seen a single Goldfinch yet and she's never had a year where they didn't show up by the end of November. Dydee - Welcome to Gardenweb! Congrats on getting the photos. It's unusual to see an albino bird, much less photograph it. There are some interesting photos if you look on Google's images feature. There's an albino peacock that's beautiful. If you're wanting to learn how to post photos, you can find lots of helpful info by searching on gardenweb. A lot of people use Photobucket.

It's a European starling..They are invasive, kill other bird nestlings and their nest should be removed. They aren't protected by law as they aren't native and cause harm to other cavity nesters.. Here are some links to prevent them from nesting and to repel them : http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Starlings http://www.sialis.org/starlingbio.htm http://www1.agric.gov.ab.ca/$department/deptdocs.nsf/all/agdex729
