Exercise thread week 13

Took Sunday off, after riding every day last week, after I got back to Oklahoma.

Did an errands bike ride of 12 miles today.

Check for me too. Have been doing 10,000 steps a day and trying for 12,000 tomorrow.

I know Glenda, so did a few others. But the overall response just didn't happen. There aren't that many that brag about their exercise, or not that many that do any. I know you still swim/exercise, and think, that you know I still ride, and do a weight workout. I also added walking to my regimen. Moni

I started walking with the puppy during the daytime last week. I only get a mile or two in because he gets tired and then I have to carry him. We try to get the kids out for either a walk or bike ride at night. Since the weather has been nicer, I hid most of the video games last week and kicked the kids out of the house. They went out front and sat on the porch swing. It is too pretty for them to be couch potatoes inside. My 8 yo snuck the tv back on so I think that will be the next to go. We have had a few kids move into the neighborhood this summer so they've been playing outside more.

Supposed to cut the grass today, but doubt if I'll get to it. It's not growing anymore, thank goodness, so I'm safe for another week. I've been walking all day every day at work, so I take my days off to relax, sort of, although I am doing housework, and that's enough exercise for one day. I do have one tip, though. While you're sitting in your recliner watching t.v., do leg lifts and bicycles (don't have to stick your feet up in the air) and throw in a few scissors. You'll feel that tush tightening quicker than you would imagine, and the tummy flattening too. I started out doing about 20, and ended up doing 500, and it helped me a lot. Of course, I'm not doing it now, but I'm going to start back. I just don't watch too much t.v. anymore.

I've been slacking, I got distracted and out of my stationary bike habit. I have a doctors appointment next week too and I will probably come clean, admit I haven't stayed consistent the last 8 weeks or so ;0(

Same old, same old. Went to the gym this morning although today is the last week of the semester and so it's testing day. Beat my last test so that was good!

Then I took the dog for a walk and did some errands and came home and cleaned out our recroom and have a pile of stuff to go to recycling.

Six miles today. Two at the gym, three walking the dog, the rest in stores and house.

I did nothing today! Walked two miles on Sunday and Monday. Hopefully the rain will subside and I can walk outside, otherwise I will head to the gym tomorrow and walk on the treadmill. In a few days I am going to start working out at the gym again! I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully none of this Piriformis/Sciatica pain will return!

Is it too late to join? I worked in the yard for an hour and a half and did 40 minutes on the treadmill.

I worked out at the Y and then dh and I walked almost two miles tonight.

Today (Tuesday) I went for trail run with a running buddy. We were running in torrential rain that came up from Cyclone Debbie in Australia along the jet stream. We got drenched, we also broke a rain record for March 28 that went back to the early 1950's. This is on the Cdn. west coast part of what you know as the PNW.

Water aerobics twice this week. Plan two more days, Thursday and Friday.
