    Fun! No kimchi? Kombucha?

Seriously, though, pretty loaf. And you've reminded me I need to feed...

That's a really nice loaf, Dawn. I'm not much of a fan of kefir, although I do make my own yogurt, usually used for cooking and baking. I also make sauerkraut and kimchi, and I've got a sprouting device, I ought to drag that out.

    Thanks for the reminder.

Looks good! and what is under the cake dome?

Is that an ann_t cutting board? Lovely.

(i'd like to hire your housekeeper)

My kefir died. It was great while it lasted. Back to yogurt now. Prefer it really. Just need one or the other and greek yogurt has more uses for us. I'll probably try again if i can score some for free.

I've been an overachiever this winter with an indoor farm. An endless supply of micro greens, pea and sunflower shoots, many greens like broccoli, radish, beets...arugula, even celery and cilantro greens. Micro tomatoes and micro sunflowers, (for their beauty). : )

Started a tomato seedling tray way early and started potting up over the weekend...need to start more soon.

Kombucha has been going for a few years now. Second ferment favorite is ginger and golden beet. Lots of ginger.

Next year i'll start the micro toms earlier like maybe late Sept. Just getting fruit now. 2 dozen plants.

Plllog & Annie, I need to learn how to make kimchi :)

Sleevendog, wow, I'm in awe! Your indoor garden/farm is impressive!!! I'd love to do that but my cats would destroy it. Beautiful loaf too!

The cake dome has a delicious pineapple jellyroll that one of the sweet ladies from the local Hutterite colony dropped off :)

I've been meaning to purchase one of AnnT's cutting boards, thanks for the reminder!

I make kefir regularly. I don't like to drink it at all, so I only use it in smoothies, on my cereal, topped up with milk, and it makes fantastic pancakes.

I've been giving away grains regularly through Freecycle and Kijiji.

I also just started making water kefir, with fruit in the second fermentation. That, we can drink. A kind man gave me water grains in return for the milk grains.

Dawn, Elery makes his kimchi based on a Youtube video by a small Korean woman, I guess she's quite popular. She will tell you it's "so delicious". (grin) Elery says it is, too. I wouldn't know, I can't get past the smell enough to actually taste it!
