I have a triple MEMW301ES. It hasn't been that noisy and it holds a great temperature. The convection oven works great and really cuts time. The broiler is very powerful too. I've also found it easy to clean. It also has a much larger oven cavity than the Miele's. I feel that Miele's look great, but don't perform as well as the new Thermadors. And the new Thermadors aren't too shabby in the looks department either. I've had no regrets from the recent installation. And Miele doesn't make a triple stack--or a microwave for that matter. The triple stack is a great way to have more countertop space and more cabinets in the same area. While many say you can never be too young or too thin, I'd alter the saying to---you can never have too much counter space and too many cabinets to hold things. Greg

Hi Pam! Wow I had almost ordered the same one the other day with the combo micro-convection oven until I did a bunch of research and found horrible posts all over the internet about Thermador. When one starts doing research on the internet one tends to find tons of complaints about most everything so it is so difficult to make the right decision!! I feel your pain! lol Finally I figured the BEST place to find the answers was to call my trusty repairman that I have used for years and ask him what oven he would recommend for me. He would know what are the best and worst appliances. I asked him what are some of the best ones and which ones should I stay away from. His words: "I'm sorry to tell you but there are no reliable appliances out there. All the American made appliances are built to last 5 years and there are some that look like they've been put together with toy parts. They are built to cut costs and compete. They are not built like your Moms or your Grandmothers were built. Try to find something with REAL KNOBS (some are fake attached to a computer board) because the biggest problem I see is that the "touchpad" types blow and the whole board has to be replaced. ($$$$$$$- caching caching). Never buy LG- they are the worst. As for Foreign made, It is very difficult to find people who can service them not to mention the repair expense, and it can take quite a while to get parts". So I told him that I had planned on getting a Thermador oven and his advise was such that if I'm stuck on going Foreign that I should do the research and go with the most reliable one. I mentioned that I am now steering towards the Miele (love my dishwasher) and he said he had never worked on them because he was not certified but had heard they were good and if I could find mostly good reviews and not many complaints then I should either go that option, or just go with the American made GE or Whirlpool and pay for the 5 year coverage plan. He also said to get coverage plan for foreign. If you Google "who makes what appliances" you will find a list that tells you Bosch makes Thermador. I did not know that until last night. Bosch is also supposed to be good but I have found slews of complaints. Based on all the information I have put together I have decided to spend a little more and go with Miele. Miele makes Miele and that is it. They are a family owned company and notorious for quality and customer satisfaction. I am going to copy and paste some links to info that I have scrounged up. There are some complaints on the dishwashers but I can tell you if they are not installed properly by certified Miele guy they will not drain properly so that's probably where some of the complaints come from. I have had a Miela "Diamante" for three years and not one problem. It's the best dishwasher I have owned and I have owned many. I also own Miele vacuum and it is THE BEST! I haven't seen any "NEW" posts, good or bad, regarding the Miele oven temp problem, perhaps those that have bought Miele ovens recently can chime in as far as temperature performance goes. As I mentioned in other posts, there were at least 2, maybe 3 posters here on GW that had problems with the low oven temps, and the ovens were replaced but unfortunately the new ovens had the same problem. The last post I recall seeing about the problem, was where a supposedly new software/firmware fix was installed in one of our poster's ovens here, and it did not fix the problem. This is not to say that one could not just use a fudge factor and just turn the oven up a bit higher (with practice one should be able to dial in the needed temps). Also according to posts here on GW, some of the ovens "baking modes" are closer than others , so maybe choose "That Mode"? I will do some more "Off GW" research and see if I find anything new, regarding the problem. As far as the Elux and the fully gliding out racks, We've had our oven since 2006. Bakes great, (Ask CJ about that too). The glide out racks still work as new, which is very smooth, to say the least, and they will sure come in handy next month with a heavy turkey, as ours is mounted below counter alto raised up about 6"'s off the floor. We live in S Calif so an indoor rotisserie is not a big deal to us, just steps away out on our patio is a BBQ with an infrared broiler and the rotisserie and I doubt there are many indoor ovens with rotisseries that can match the performance of that bbq, and in fact of all the turkeys we have done over many years, the best one we ever did, was on that infrared broiler using the rotisserie, but usually I'm lazy and I just do the turkey inside using the Elux oven and it comes out great. Other things we considered when deciding on Oven was the display and control panel. Was it easy to use (Intuitive) and could I read it without my glasses? (we have a 2 story house) and my freaking glasses are always on the wrong floor, (I use them only for reading and they are usually here (Upstairs) by this cmptr---so the big display on the Elux has saved me a lotta trips up/down those stairs, easy to read without glasses. We are not "Matchey Matchey" (Miele Optima DW for example) but we did buy the Elux Speed oven and with both readouts being similar in appearance as well as operation, tends to make things easier for "Senior Citizens", like us. Good luck with your pending decisions, if I turn up any more Miele oven info I will certainly post it here, In the interim do a search on main appliance (at the bottom of page) for Miele oven and you will be as current as I am as far as posts on Miele Ovens.
