Well i'm really not feeling well from the antibotics, by hey only a couple more days to go and they'll be done and what a way to lose weight! but it is healing nicely -- if that's possible, we have a friend who was bitten by a spider here in town and her leg is a mess after 2 years! anyways at 9 pm on Tuesday we all imagine we are holding hands in a big circle and basically pray for anyone dear to us and of course each other -- what are friends for right, i seem to be the one that starts them, when the posts are so sad or we get alot of new friends, basically i'm so exhausted after we have them, that i feel soo good (i guess that IS the power of prayer), there is no need to sign up, just stop whatever you're doing, or if you're with anyone else, ask them to join in! ps. -- help the furnace kept on going on all day today, freezing, windy and hoping to see a robin! Every now and then you'll find a woman who is breastfeeding who prefers to keep her diet milder...like no strong garlic, spices, etc... I think they believe the strong flavors are carried into the breastmilk and that some babies may not like the taste or something. I never noticed it, but thought I would mention it, just in case. I liked chicken dishes, and as woodie suggested, soup and salad may be good too. You may even consider including a quiche or breakfast food since they will be home all day long. I'm sure they'll appreciate anything and all you bring.

I am remaining cool and cordial right now. :) The last thing I need in my life is drunks dropping by to yammer about politics and world affairs. I don't care that they are close relatives, co-workers, neighbors or people I've met in my social circle. I don't need it in my home. Wannabe Lotharios aren't welcome either. Especially drunk ones. Or insane ones. People ringing my doorbell at 3:00AM needing a place to crash are going to have to figure out a better way to manage their lives. Exes will have to get it through their heads that I really do not miss them, and am I not into "booty calls". People who say they didn't call first because they "don't have my phone number" obviously do not know me well enough to 'just drop by' to come in to chat then either. And if they had to go through some surreptitious means to obtain my address because I never gave it to them, they should realize that they would not be welcome. This is akin to stalking. I don't care if "We used to work together" or if you are "Bob's friend from the BBQ". People who just drop by for no reason, are just plain selfish and self centered. There are only so many hours in a day and I work out of my home and cannot just drop my work everytime someone wants to click their teeth. This includes needless phone calls too. I also have a child to raise and a home to maintain. I just can't be there for everybody, to sit around and listen to their stories on their schedule. I've eliminated "time vampires" from my life. Social meetings should be scheduled IMHO. Maybe it's a regional thing, or maybe it's an age thing as someone mentioned before. Obviously from reading this whole thread there seem to be many more people who open their door to anyone, including complete strangers, and entertain them or let them stay over, than people who do not allow such a thing, so I do realize that I am in the minority on this topic. It has nothing to do with "not having any friends" peoniesandposies. It has to do with having some self respect and priorities and not being a doormat. I have plenty of scheduled outings with friends along with scheduled get-togethers in each other's homes. Really.

We did this, but opposite to your hoped for move. It wasn't a big deal at all, however you might need to get creative with solutions to hide the hoses and tubes. We did re-vent the dryer so it vented straight out the back wall instead of around the corner and through a kitchen cabinet. My Husband is very handy and DIYed it all.
