Griping and complaining
Comments (5)What's with the wind this year. I need to mow under the oaks in the backyard, but they still have dead branches from last year's ice storm and when it's windy those big widowmakers swing back and forth and every once in a while one comes down. Got up to 72 today, first warmer day since the end of April, not counting the windchill. The tree companies are quit willing to cut down the oaks, but don't want to trim out the dead wood. It's windy the rest of the week too and storms tonight. Leone, I am glad that George is back from the hospital. Wished I could give him some of my blood pressure. 10 points from me could get me where I belong. Enjoy your retirement. I assume that your's will be pretty busy. I always say I should get back to work, so I get more rest. For sure can't figure out how one could get bored when retired....See MoreBlood pressure & menopause?
Comments (3)Hi Randi, I'm sorry I forgot about this post! Try not to get too compulsive about checking your BP several times a day. I would do it at the same time for several days, then change to a different time of day for awhile.....just to see if its pretty consistent. If your Inderal isn't working, you might try a different one. I was really happy with Toprol. It got rid of 99% of my headaches. It was heaven! The worst thing about it was that at a slightly higher dose, I couldn't think straight at all. Also, even at a lower dose, my appetite went crazy. I don't get all the headaches I used to, but I still get them occasionally. If they got worse, I'd definitely go back on the Toprol. Does someone go with you to the doctor's? If I took xanax before I doctor's appointment, I think would fall asleep in the car on the way! Our blood pressure fluctuates all day long, so don't think something's wrong, just because it goes up a little. I hate that Whitecoat syndrome!! Now that I'm off my Toprol, it really goes up at the doctor's. I was at the doctor's yesterday, and my diastolic was 100! At home, its in the 70's. I've discovered Christmas holidays I had too much to eat, and too much salt, and my BP really spiked. So try to cut back on your salt. I think a little exercise is also important.......just walking at a good pace is good. One thing about "Whitecoat syndrome". One doctor told me once "if you get this worked up coming here, then you probably also get worked up over other things during the day"......which is probably true. If you consistently feel that your BP is too high, I would encourage you to talk to your doc about trying a different beta blocker. I really loved the Toprol. It worked on my heartrate, my BP, my anxiety, and my migraines. Again, sorry I forgot about this post! I hope things are going well for you....See MoreThe solution for my hot flashes and sleepless nights
Comments (3)i'm being weaned off my meds, been on them for 10 years, this is the last 3 months i'll get, I'm freaking out as I was LITERALLY homicidal, trying to take 1/2 dose for 1 mo, not working, haven't slept for 1 mo. i'm irritable like crazy, can't even stand myself anymore. So i went back to taking full dose which there's maybe 2 months left. I'm searching for HELP. I have all the symptoms STRONG. Hot flashes like crazy, no sleep, exhausted when home from work, just want to be alone....See MoreI'm scared
Comments (5)Boy, can I empathize! I had my lasat period 3 or 4 years ago. BAM! Out of nowhere I started bleeding today. Needless to say, I'm unhappy at the least, very concerned at the most. Two things that happened this week were that I started walking a few hours each day (after having been pretty sedentary for many, many months), and, I'm under a lot of stress right now. I'm hoping it's one or the other or both of those things and not something serious. It's scary when you start bleeding out of nowhere. My gynecologist said it could be many things when I asked him if it was most likely cancer. My advice to you is to do what I'm doing, make an appointment with your doctor first, worry later. Because this happened to me, I thought I'd check this forum and see if anyone else experienced this. It's reassuring to know that I'm not alone.
