Quick Time Player Taking Over...
Comments (6)Well now, ain't that just a kick in the ribs. You are correct. So I removed my Quicktime and re-installed the latest version hoping to have a tiny morsel of control during the install. How foolish of me! No chance that I had any options so I tried removing the associations again only to find as you did that they simply return. Oh how I hate these overbearing programs where programmers feel they are the only ones competent enough to know what we mere mortals need. I then removed Quicktime again and went looking for alternatives. At this point I only see sites I am not comfortable with to download from so I need to go searching around. Never liked any program that takes over and only had Quicktime because a web site I maintain has a QT file. However they have now created a Youtube presence so I can remove the QT junk and simply link to the Youtube site. Oh happy day. Later I'll search a bit more, in the meantime someone else may jump in with either a solution or a good QT replacement....See MoreMottled Italian parsley leaves
Comments (3)>You can get fresh parsley at Publix I can also get it (for half the price) at my produce market, but I love having fresh parsley there whenever I need it which is why I have grown it year round for many years. What's troubling is that this is the time of year it usually grows best, with no summer heat to thwart it. >Have you looked @ the water/fertilizer you're using? When we moved here I repotted into a large decorative clay pot I got on sale at Publix. Today we drilled more holes in its bottom in case the water is not draining properly. I haven't been fertilizing much (because I thought perhaps I had been over fertilizing) but have begun to do so with more regularity. >is this parsley you started from seed? Or were these purchased transplants? Always plants, not from seed, but in this case I got plants from three different sources, and they all went wonky on me. I've removed all the yellowed leaves leaving only healthy foliage, so we'll see if the latest attempts are going to make a difference....See MoreDon't you love a problem-solving piece of furniture?
Comments (29)Yes, the door is an issue even though in the store, DH recognized that it COULD be an issue but decided it wouldn't bother him. Of course now that it's in the house...he is talking about flipping the door so it opens the other way. The issue with putting it on the side wall is that we then have a row of furniture lined up like soldiers -- there is a bench in front of the window, which you can barely see in the pic above, and then a few feet down, there's the kitchen table/banquette...so visually IMO it works better where it is....See MoreNeed help for mint!
Comments (10)It's been doing great outdoors ^^ Ok, thanks for your advice! :D Lately I'm kinda having another weird problem though, the leaves are starting to get white spots and some of these leaves upon checking the underside seems to have dust or some sort. There's a potted rose plant infested with spider mites a few pots away and I fear it could be from that. At the moment I'm just removing the infected leaves but everyday I keep finding new ones, should I wash my mint with dishwater? Or would normal water do?...See More- 9 years agolast modified: 9 years ago
