Painted window trims outside and stained inside

We are building a greene and Greene craftsman house, and would like to have paint grade wood for exterior but stained grade for interior. The problem is the wide trims around the windows and doors that show both in the outside and inside. If we use stain grade wood and paint it outside but stain it in the interior (different finish on different face of the same wood), then it defeats the goal of using cheaper finish outside. If we use paint grade wood, it won't match up with the rest of the interior that's using stain grade wood.

Any idea how this can be accomplished? The style require a lot of woods and I saw one house that has painted exterior trims in muted green but have no idea how it looks like in the interior.

Also, any idea on price diff between stain and paint grade wood for exterior, and recommendation on the species? We'd like something that lasts because it is a lot of wood for trims, beams, corbels, and deck railings.

Thanks to the wise ones!!
