Right Rose Right Place
Comments (10)Marcindy, Peter and Susan Schneider are two of the loveliest people you could hope to meet. You really should subscribe to his American Rose Rambler, an excellent newsletter! I think you'll really enjoy his sense of humor, too. You can find his contact information here on the Combined Rose List web site. The CRL is another invaluable rose reference and was the only method of finding roses prior to Help Me Find. I have used his editions (and the prior ones created by Bev Dobson, another lovely rose person!) to find old, rare and unusual roses for many years. I would love to visit their open house, too. It must be amazing! Good luck. Kim Here is a link that might be useful: Combined Rose List...See MoreRight time and right place for these pics
Comments (14)Jim, those really *are* cool pictures! :-) But I have to admit that I "triple-hate" yellow jackets, because I am *extemely* allergic to them. Plus they are very much enamored of bindweed which I despise just about as much as them. Those two dirty rotters go "hand in hand". Sure they have their place. I totally get that, but I hate them both, nonetheless. :-/ Goes off muttering...*&%@! dirty, rotten', stinkin' yellow jackets and bindweed...phfft!...See Morebeing in the right place at the right time
Comments (15)he said I could take as many plants as I wanted because he'd be throwing them all away anyway (the guy seriously had hundreds if not a thousand plants) but they all looked pretty bad, and the whiteflies at my house woulda torn them apart. my strong plants are struggling with the whiteflies as it is. he did say that if I change my mind I can go back and take the plants though. I'm trying to talk him into giving me a job....See MoreIt's Time for a Clock, but Where is the Right Place?
Comments (38)deb - Yes, I could always return it or use it somewhere else if I do order it. pfmastin - You bring up a great point. Maybe a clock that size would overwhelm the space, demanding too much attention. My parents have clocks everywhere, and they would be absolutely lost without them because they ALWAYS want to know what time it is. Sometimes, I don't want to know what time it is, if you know what I mean! I just want to relax and enjoy the day, without time dictating my every move. In fact, now that I think about it, they're the ones who are always commenting, "I don't know how you can live without a clock on the wall somewhere!" Sometimes I wish they would loosen up that way. They're retired but still seem to live on a "schedule" somehow. vampiressrn - Thanks for the confidence vote. It seems from the comments of many that the clock could work there alright. Since I found the new inspiration and have given thought to a floor clock, I'm now leaning in that direction. I just wish the floor clocks were less expensive! I love grandfather clocks, as you mentioned. They're so classic....See Moresmm5525
