Installation Clearances for a 1950 O'Keefe and Merritt

All,

I have an 1954 OKM 6 burner double oven, model 600 sitting in storage, ready to be installed. It's not UL listed, obviously but has CP (safety valve) markings.

MA (where I live) follows the national fire code. And, when installing new stoves, all the fire codes point to the installation instructions for clearances above the stove.

And since this stove is so old, there are no clearances (or instructions) I am worried they could throw the book at me...and I'm right at 18" for the uppers clearance (and maybe a shade under). Which should be okay if the inspector isn't totally unreasonable. However, I'm wondering if the inspector could assume it's unlisted (or wood burning) meaning I have to have spacing all around the stove.

During home inspections, how have your inspectors handled your vintage stove?

Help and TIA
