I have a sizable fig tree I need to move and don't really

know where to put it...cuz it is near the house and the house needs new siding and painting.

I suppose it is possible someone out there may be silly enough to trade for my few not special

plants I have hanging around the yard.

This stuff I can get rid of include: Yellow archangel ground cover, vinca (purple)ground cover,

some iron clad hostas (by iron clad I just mean deer and bugs don't really bother with them), lily of the valley ground cover,

I suppose I could dig up some forsythia, I also have a hydrangea I have been tying to get give away for years. I could throw in some daffodils and crocuses.

I also an upright (I suppose the word is vastigate) apple (not sure of var) which seems to take well to cuttings attempts.

hello I can understand your situation. My dad died in 2005 suddenly and very unexpectedly. My mom and he were married 39 years. He was only 68 and now my mom is a wreck. She moved out of her apt. because she couldnt afford it with my dads income cut. Then she moved in with me and my husband and 2 kids. It was disasterous. I love her very dearly but we just clash. She is now living with her older sister. She has bad anxiety. She is depressed but wont admit it and she is convinced she is sick. The doc put her on meds but I dont think she takes them. Anyway it seems she quit living life and she doesnt even want to help herself and it makes hard on everyone around her. She drives but she wont work or join social activities. She is only 65 but is acting like a 4 yr old who needs looking after. I dont know if something triggers this behavior when someone is thrown a bad apple in life. Like your sister, one day, they had normal lifes and the next day everything was gone and I guess its very hard to try and start over. I worry very much about my mom. I think she has no will to live anymore. I quess we just have to be there for them and try and help when we can. I wont go out of my way anymore and I told my mom she needs to start living again. They are the only ones who can help themselves. I dont know if this helps you or not but I just wanted to let you know that you and your sister are not alone. Alot of people are put in life changing situations and you just have to make the best of it. ZGOod luck and God Bless

Oh gosh, I'm sorry! I keep forgetting most areas don't have summer kitchens. Most homes that have a summer kitchen are old. This house was built in 1850. Back in those days, without the luxury of moderen heating and AC, some homes would have two kitchens. In the winter they would use the kitchen that was located in the house so the heat from cooking would help keep the house warm. In the summer to help keep the house cool they would use the summer kitchen. Some are attached off the back of the house and others are seperated by a breeze way. Now days they seem to become junk magnets.lol Mine is seperate from the house as you can see in this photo. BTW that is a before picture. I have since cleaned up that area and painted the summer kitchen. Foxy.

Michael, come back. I'm sorry that someone made this comment to you. " Michael, you're only 12 years old? Without money or a loan from your parents you won't have a very successful garden." I'm certain that you can have a little garden with a $10 bag of potting mix, some sweat and a bit of water. Please ask your parents if you can give me your address and I'll send you a $10 gift card to a hardware/home depot close to you for a bag of potting mix along with some flower seeds for you to try out. Kudos to Autumn and infiniteohms for trying to help this aspiring gardener get a head start by offering up some seeds. Kiliandwarrior, I'm sure that your opening statement to this young man wasn't meant to be discouraging BUT it was. I hope the poor boy hasn't been scared off. Don't know where to put my couch

@freedomplace1 Yeah I've considered putting the couch to the single window wall but it would leave an odd space on the right (with the angled wall) and my tv is pretty huge to just put in the middle of the room. That's just asking for me to walk into it sooner or later. This is kinda making me wish I just had a cute tiny tv I could put on a small table but it's not like I'm not enjoying the big tv I have. Hanging it is of course an option but that still asks for some kind of wall. I'm now wondering how it would look on that angled wall (not sure if angled is the right term, english isn't my first language). Thing is: if I would not have my tv I probably would have put my couch somewhere else. But that's a pretty big 'if' considering I do have my tv. Also: I hope everyone responding has pressed 'read more' on the original post cause that one has the pics of the current situation. The two beneath it are the old setup which I kinda prefer in hindsight? Switching spots for my tv and couch would kinda work for me but my couch is too big for that
