Weather not cooperating!
Comments (9)Snow? Oh, man........ I haven't seen snow in April in many years...... The weather has really been wild. It dropped more than 40 degrees here too. We had frost a little over a week ago, then jumped to 80s then down to upper 20s. I had to turn my furnace back on last night. I actually like it cold. That much heat was totally unusual. This cool weather is perfect for shipping plants or transplanting. Except it's been raining of and on...mostly on .. for 3 - 4 days now. The ground must be too soggy to plant anything. Comments (10)I feel your pain a bit, and we're in a development. We got our permit 6 weeks ago but have only had about 7 days total of working weather--for several weeks we had hard rains 4 out of 7 days, making the lot a giant muddy puddle. It's frustrating to see a house that got dug two weeks ago nearby that is already at the same point we are even though we started a month earlier than they did. We've got to remember, having a house is a very long term prospect, and these couple of weeks' delay won't seem significant in the long term :) Of course, if the mortgage rates jump before we can get the house finished, that's a different story......See MoreMy adventure...
Comments (23)Thank you cat !! barb : you are SWEET ! : we were having unusually lovely weather for about 2 hrs LOL. It was awful today...cold cold and rain. And tonight is supposed to be 20's and then snow on Friday. This is supposed to be the SOUTH ! Wish the weather would cooperate.I will try to get some way to send pics and messages...see other thread. We have a very large community garden that the Master Gardeners manage and they give all the produce to the food bank too. Also the local grocery stores donate a huge amount of stuff. It is just hit or miss though. Pretty upsetting when folks come and there is almost nothing on the shelves and then the next week there is lots but the folks can only come one time a month. The rest of us are surely spoiled. c...See More- 7 years agolast modified: 7 years ago
