Pls Help
Comments (11)Hi U all, First of all, thanks for your posts, its really helping me. I apologise for not replying sooner. I had an important career opportunity this week and I was really concentrating on that. Regarding my "once-loving" husband, i had a talk with him during the week end. I pointed out the same facts you told me and before he starts telling Me to change, i showed him your posts. He read the posts, went silent for a long time, and then apologised. I think, reading those posts, from people who do not know him brought some senses to him. He did admit having taken me and the things I do for him for granted. We went through all the issues we had so far, and I offered to work on this relationship. I also made it clear that I will not be waiting for him, although I don't like jumping from 1 relationship to another. I would rather remain single than live with this moral stress. From what I could understand from him, part of the reason he acted like this was because he was missing his friends and feeling lonely. Couple of yrs ago, we moved to a new city, far from all family and friends. Because of our careers, moving back is not possible, but i know he has some friends in another city, and i did propose to move there, if he wants, maybe next year. I could get a transfer from work. There's still a lot to work on. But I am happy, at least, he has acknowledged to making mistakes. And I want to try everything I can to save my marriage. Of course, its clear now, for him, that if he's not willing to make an effort, then I am leaving. I am sorry if I gave you the impression of using 'love to be a doormat'. But I do believe, that I should try everything before I walk out. If I have to leave, I have to do so, knowing that I left no stone unturned. He has 5 very important exams coming up in 3 weeks, so I am not pushing him for changes. We agreed that work must be done, and after his exams, we will start working seriously on how to improve our relationship and bring back some sparks in this otherwise dead relationship. He offered to do some chores and this week, when he came back from work, he came to talk to me...simple conversations about work, weather, nothing serious, but i did appreciate the effort. I will keep you posted on the way things are going. Words will not be enough to let you how much I am thankful for your advice. tc...See MoreAcupuncture/Abdominal Massage
Comments (4)I've had acupuncture, but it was adminstered by an MD who could have used more training. Lots more training. When I was trying to get pregnant with my third child, I had foot reflexology done by a skilled practitioner in Arizona. She did something to my feet that stimulated my uterus (I could feel it), and I got pregnant soon after. Coincidence? I have no idea, but I subsequently heard about a pregnant woman whose baby was in breech position, and her reflexologist actually turned the baby....See Moreacupuncture? post herpetic neuralgia
Comments (10)I had shingles last year, and an anesthesiologist did a procedure to make the pain better during the acute phase of the illness. He said if the post herpetic neuralgia was bad enough, he could do it again. He shot the nerve with a steroid and a numbing medicine. It's supposed to "reset" the nerve and help it heal. I still have some pain, burning, and itching. (Mine's around my hip) When I complain, DH reminds me that there is medicine I can take that has very few side effects. I don't want to take it, so I've never asked what it was. If you haven't tried this route, I can ask him. (DH is a neurologist in training, and his dad is a rheumatologist) I think it's worth continuing with the acupuncture. Many things simply require time to work. Good luck to your mother. I hope she feels relief soon....See MoreAcupuncture??
Comments (12)I had my first acupuncture visit today. It was strange but I liked it. Very relaxing. I had about fifteen needles in me - my legs, my arms, top of my head, my forehead and my ear. That's all that I know about anyway. Each patient lays in either in a lounger or in a zero gravity chair and then the acupuncturist puts the needles in. I felt a slight pick when the needles go in - some I didn't feel at all. I didn't feel them at all after a minute or so. The lights were low and there was soft music playing. I was offered pillows and blankets. I chose a pillow under my knees. One guy came in and almost immediately fell asleep and started snoring. She told me that many of her patients fall asleep during treatment. I was there about an hour or so and almost fell asleep! I was very relaxed afterwards and I did notice an immediate big difference. I have no sinus or allergy issues - that was even a question on the form which I said no to. I can breathe so much easier now. It is amazing. And I would have told you that I was breathing absolutely fine before. I have heard people say it greatly helps their sinuses and now I understand why. I am going to continue seeing her to see what other benefits I may find with acupuncture. :)...See More- 7 years ago
