Peach tree similar to the Fortyniner peach?

My grandparents had a large fortyniner peach tree that we'd eat from every year growing up. It produced the best peaches I have ever had. They were large, soft and juicy - a dessert peach. It is a yellow freestone variety and is blushed red with a lot of red skin. Its parent is apparently JH Hale.

We want to plant a peach tree in the yard, however, I remember this particular tree being way too large...much larger than the less tasty Elberta trees in their yard. We don't want a tree that large in our yard. We'd allow one that would reach 10-12ft tall.

It's hard to decide because obviously we can't taste all the varieties. I don't want to have something in the ground that we don't end up being too happy with...

I should add that we don't get as many chill hours as our grandparents did in Southern Oregon. We apparently get 694 hours under 45F. We live in a 9b zone.
