Thank you all! Mtn, yes! Your suggestion was perfect for a quick getaway! I really really need to start researching possible places to get reasonably priced art mementoes while traveling. I do look for things while on trips but really don’t have a direction and often end up trying to find something in touristy areas, without luck. I should have at least bought a small framed butterfly here http://www.butterflypeople.com/ You cannot tell by the pictures how lovely these are in their translucent magic unless you see them in person. Although I still haven’t given meditation a real try I have to say that just walking into a full gallery of this art form with the soothing music in the background puts one into a zone. blueheron, Did you use course salt (kosher or sea salt)? The dough should be wet but not so wet you can't do anything with it. I mix the ingredients in my KitchenAid just until blended then dump it into a big stoneware bowl I've got. I leave it on the counter, loosely covered with plastic wrap, for 2 or 3 hours. Then I deflate it with a plastic spatula (really, the thing from my rice cooker) and dump it on the well-floured counter (since I'm usually baking one loaf that day). I keep a spice jar (that once held sesame seeds) about half full of flour and shake enough flour onto the dough that I can touch it without sticking. I cut off a lump - sometimes 1/4 sometimes 1/3- with a bench knife/scraper then scoop the rest of the dough into a container with a loose fitting lid for it's fridge time. I use a piece of cornmeal sprinkled parchment paper on a flat cookie sheet and let it sit for about an hour. I preheat the baking stone, sprinkle the slash area with the flour (from the spice jar) and cut with a sharp paring knife -somtimes freshly run through the sharpener gadget. I cut about 1/4-1/2" deep then slide the paper onto the stone (and of course add the water to the other preheated pan). I think a lot of it is not adding too much flour to the interior of the dough. Disclaimers: I use KA bread flour - haven't tried any others yet. I also live at 7000' elevation in a very dry climate with a generally cool house. I haven't made the bread anywhere else, so YMMV.

LOL... It happened and I was only in my 40's. But you got to understand, if you were me, you could have made that same mistake! Picture this.... How often do you see the same make, year, color minivan with tinted windows parked at the handicapped parking space at the same time and next to each others? I mean... after all, red is not that popular of a color for minivans. Well... now you see... even young people can make that same mistakes 4 times. LOL... yep, 4 times. Come to think of it, I'm wondering if it has been the same van (not mine) that I kept trying to open the door with my key over and over again. Hum.... Anyway, my van now has a noticeable scratch that ID it. When I see the scratch, I know the key would work. It is mine :)

Uh oh....better not say that around a sheltie breeder. Shelties are Shetland Sheepdogs and Collies are Collies......2 totally separate breeds. These are Shetland Sheepdogs and I have been breeding them for about 10 years. Although Collies were used in the creation of the Shetland Sheepdog breed, they are completely different breeds. And shelties are NOT miniature collies as some have been lead to believe. There is no such thing as a miniature collie. There are many herding breeds and they all have distinct and separate standards unless they are a cross bred dog and not registerable as a purebred. Thank you for the comments and interest in my kids. They are a handful sometimes. I have 5 adult shelties and puppies occasionally. Very smart dogs, incredibly easy to train, and always under foot! As they were bred to drive stock, they instinctively follow me everywhere! Just try and close a sheltie out of the bathroom!
