Help selection appliances
Comments (5)If you're serious about a business, then you need to get yourself to an accountant ASAP for a tutorial on what is permissible for write-off expenses related to your business, especially since it is being run from your home. Ditto on zoning laws that pertain to businesses, kitchens, fire, and don't forget to consult with your insurance company. Also, you will want to consult with a kitchen designer--no, really--who has experience with commercial kitchens. They will be invaluable. Remember, you'll need electrical work done as each oven should be on a dedicated circuit. I would recommend that you find a friend with convention, or call some of the companies, and ask if you can take it for a test drive. Regarding the number of ovens, again, that depends on what you bake. You may find it more helpful to ask on a baking forum....See MoreHelp with appliance selections
Comments (2)The BS/CC burners have been discussed to death ..... BS customer service seems to have really improved the last year or so don't think that is a pressing issue. The hot oven doors are on the ranges not the French Door. I don't recall reading a review on the BS French door wall oven. You may also want to look at the American Range French door wall oven because it has co-dependent doors. You can open and close both doors with one hand. For hood insert you want to look at the Prestige Power Pack. I have never cooked in Capital wall ovens and I don't know how well the moist assist feature works but below are 30" double ovens 20% off UMRP with free shipping. As you have already read the Gagg ovens are fantasic. Miele speed ovens and dishwashers are fantastic as well. Comments (3)I have read hundreds of raves on the Miele oven compared to a few people with a problem. Just because a thread has a lot of posts, doesn't mean there are that many complaints...It's important to note how many times the information is repeated by how many/how few different people. And like you say, it's easier to note a few complaints, since the people who are happy are busy baking, not writing! ;-) As far as which induction cooktop, both being good companies with great reputations for appliance quality as well as customer service, I'd choose by burner configuration, looks, and price. For me, for example, I would choose Miele, because of the way the large burners, which I would use most, are spread out across the cooktop. On the Wolf the 2 medium burners (on which I would probably place (9" or 10" pots) seem kind of crowded with the smaller ones. Was there more than 1 person with the porcelain flaking in their Electrolux oven? I have a Fisher & Paykel oven with chipping and pitting porcelain in the bottom...According to the repair tech it is probably because on this particular oven the metal wasn't hot enough when the porcelain was applied, so that they didn't adhere to each other properly. He has seen this also in a Wolf oven. My experience wouldn't keep me from recommending Fisher & Paykel ovens and I don't expect I'll have the problem the new one they're giving me to replace the flawed one. I am impressed with how they've handled the situation for me. Any appliance can have an occasional problem, and any manufacturer can send out a unit with a flaw...which is why I think it's important to buy from those with great customer service and who stand behind their products. Seems like you're on the right track with Miele or Wolf....See MoreNot an appliance but need help selecting a mattress.
Comments (4)Choosing a mattress is a very individual thing. We bought a Tempurpedic with excitement. Then both of us hated it. It went into our guest room for occasional use. I know other people like Tempurpedic, but I also know people have felt the same way I do. We also can't stand the mattresses that have the "feather tops", but other people love them. Like I said, mattress choice varies by individual. What state are you in? We ended up buying a Verlo mattress. They're pretty much custom-made, so you can get exactly what you want. They do have the latex mattresses, but we wanted Verlo's traditional-style mattresses. Small U.S. company, they franchise their stores, but only in 7 states unfortunately. I'll link the website, though it's a little hard to truly understand the offerings from a website. If you are near one of the Verlo stores, the store salespeople are really helpful. If you go to a department store or big chain usually the salespeople know nothing. Here is a link that might be useful: Verlo Website...See MoreJevon Staffieri
