NEW: obf february 'golden girls'
Comments (123)Wow, we have this swap wrapped up already! Way to go, GIRLS!! :o) Ya'll are awesome, as usual! Theresa~ Great box, I know you'll enjoy every bit of it! Sounds like it was good timing, too. Dottie~ "And bamboo is so ungrateful! Every time I helped one up, it slapped me in the face." ROFL!! Oh, goodness...I can't help it....I'm still wiping tears from my eyes. That is some "liberated" bamboo! *giggle* It reminds me of when my brother held a door open for a "liberated" woman! She slapped his face & told him she wasn't helpless. Good grief! I told him to not let it bother him, she probably just wasn't used to southern hospitality. That's how we raise 'em down here- you ALWAYS open doors for ladies (and even a few gents now & then, if you're first in line). Now he asks before he opens doors.."Uh, are you liberated or southern?" LOL! So I hope that DH replenished your wine supply for you. Sounds like you had quite the day & you certainly need some relaxation! Laura~ The bird watching sounds like a great activity for the family. We have TONS of birds here- chickadees, titmice, cardinals (hundreds of these!!), wrens, bluebirds (funny time of year for them!)...so we will definitely have much to report! :o) The weekend is almost here! YAY!!! ******** MARGARET sends to CAROL~ received CAROL sends to HEIDI~ received HEIDI sends to THERESA~ received THERESA sends to LAURA~ received LAURA sends to MELISSA~ received MELISSA sends to MARGARET~ received ********...See MoreUPDATE: february obf: kiss (keep it simple and sweet) swap
Comments (69)My Feb. box from Em arrived today. As you will remember, I was MIA last month when it was time to send so she and I agreed that she should wait. Wellllll....EM, I am THRILLED with what you sent. Even before I opened it, the box smelled WONderful. When I actually opened it, the heavenly scents just wafted out. But first I pulled out the pkg. that was taped in newspaper. I could peek in 1 end, and when I did I was saying out loud, "oh my, is it really, is it really?" then I opened it and saw I was correct. Em sent 3 Brug cuttings!!!!!! I LOVE them and have wanted some for such a long time. I will have to take time and look up the pics for: Tequila Sunrise, U-Conn Treasure, and Frosty Pink. You must grow these? Thank you EVER so much. Now what smelled soooo good were: Yankee Candle tarts- Home Sweet Home, Island Spa, Autumn Leaves, Garden Sweet Pea, and Kiwi Berries. The other item that smelled so good are Lavender/Vanilla soap petals. You know, I have sent these to others before, but I have never tried them myself. This will be fun and so relaxing in our spa tub. Em also sent a "paint pen" to mark my labels, Valentine chocolates, seeds-mixed Barlow columbine, numerous viola mixes, LOTS of petunia mixes, streaked hosta seedling mix, hosta Fascination, hosta Thunderbolt, hosta First Frost, hosta Christmas Tree, hosta Great Lakes Gold, hosta Blue Belle, and Brug peachy/yellow. Em, I have never tried hostas or brugs from seed so I am anxious to see how they turn out. The hosta seeds are new varieties to me, too. WooHoo! Along with the seeds, Em sent a 10 peat pellet greenhouse. Perfect to try these seeds in this. Also, received CUTE butterfly-shaped sparkly notecards AND ladybug stickers. Em, I am just so excited and thankful for all that you thought of and for the lovely card. I smiled when I saw it addressed to 'ME." :D Thank you again and again. Comments (150)Remy...I'm shaping up the tomatoes? lol Well I was gonna try to help you with a prize, but nothings hit me yet, lol. I thought I may find 'that perfect thang' at the festival today, but nothing hit me and i'm not sure what you're looking for anyway. If you have any ideas, email me, I'll try to help. Girl, you can have the brussel sprouts and those dang pickled pig feet, I refuse to eat anythings feet! lol And yes, I'm a southern gal, but can't do it. I grew up with my grandma cooking those and chitlins (sp) those chitlins was the nastiest smell I ever remember, lol No Way!!!! Enjoy! CarolB-1 I'm so excited for you g-grandma! Wishing her and that little baby such good health this time. Hugs! CarolB-2, what wonderful news! I have a new g-daughter just turned 5 months on the 26th, but girl, 2 wow! Congratulations, I just couldn't imagine having more love! Wishing good health to all!:) Welcome back dirt! Come see us when you're rested:) Theresa it was returned to me. LOL, porn? no I wouldn't do that to ya, (at least not at work, lol) I don't do porn, but do have a really good one (no not porn but amazing) lol started to send it to everyone, some may not take to jokes very well so I decided against it. Annie such a sweet offer, but so sorry you have to get rid of your plants, I'll let the new girls that don't have alot of plants take you up on it. I understand though, dh just had to make a lady move plants, SHE had big shrubs surrounding the fire hydrant and you couldn't see it at all. She was really upset about it, but in this case, he built the house and also informed her when she purchased it that she could not plant things that would block them being able to see it. Anyways, hate you're losing your plants! But I'm sure they'll be received in good homes. All of you have such great ideas on the picnic! How to choose? Well I went to the arts & crafts festival, it was awesome! And I picked up quite a few goodies, hoping my partners enjoy them, sure had fun checking everything out! I forgot its 'no sales tax' weekend in SC, jeezzzzzzzzzz it was like the most fierce angry fireant bed you ever bumped against! We went to walmart after and were in there a few minutes and I told my SIL, you gotta get the he!! outta here, good god! I have never seen it like that! I knew it was tax free, but forgot, heck, let me pay the taxes! Its ok, I'm safe at home now, lol. Remy so sorry to hear about the fire! Lol, yes I guess nothing else to do but laugh. Gary has some new 'Sat' projects, huh? lol...See MoreOBF SWAP OCTOBER "YOUR CREATIVE COOKBOOK" #2
Comments (233)My adorable and inspiring Great Pumpkin Cookbook from Ruth Arrived yesterday with the mail forwarded from AZ. It's a winner even if it took the scenic route and arrived after the contest ended.. I love Pumpkin in almost any fashion (NO Pumpkin Spice Lattes for me) and have a good supply of nice winter squash. Look forward to trying several of these recipes.Tammy also sent laminated cards with substitutions and measures. Very useful and handy thanks Tammy. Again sorry about all the confusion over addresses and deliveries but All's well that ends well. I am redoing and expanding your book a bit should get it done and mailed by the end of the week...See Moreamybabyboy3
