Help evaluating cabinets

last modified: 7 years ago

I'm in the early stages of building a home and am visiting the builder's preferred cabinetry company today to evaluate the cabinets.

I remodeled my current kitchen 3 years ago so I know how important nice cabinets are. I will not be able to use the same line of cabinets I have now.

The builder uses Brookhaven and waypoint. Based on limited research I expect I'll use Brookhaven in the kitchen and waypoint elsewhere (bathrooms/pantry/etc).

I'm going to the showroom this morning to look at cabinets and would love to have a checklist of things to look for. Last time I just got the cabinets my KD recommended, but since I'm working with someone I don't know as well this time I'd like to more thoroughly evaluate them on my own.

(I searched some but didn't find a similar thread. If it's out there and I missed it please point me in the right direction. I don't want to reinvent the wheel!)
