LOL Vikki~~ New Sanitary napkins White acrylic paint water Glass jar with lid Cut the pad down the middle and get to the cotton inside. Make sure it is just cotton, no plastic. Pull the cotton into little pieces and place in jar. This is messy because the cotton fibers fly all over. When you get all the cotton in the jar, add enough water and white paint, gradually, to make it a medium to thick consistency. Make sure that you add more paint than water or it will take days to dry. I stir it with a popsicle stick and apply it with a tweezer, pulling as much out of the jar as I want. When I make this up, I do 3-4 pads at a time so that it is done when I need it. Just keep it stored in a air tight container. If it is left unused for several months it will spoil. So when your done with your winter things it won't keep until next year. You can also make it for hair by using different paint colors. You can apply glitter to it after it is on the project to add some sparkle. The cheapest pads work just fine too. Measurements are depending on how much you make.

fahrenheit - Honestly, I don't think I've happened on any error here at all. After another test, maybe something could be said, but at this point it appears to be a mistake. For the most part all of the cycles are independent of each other. Just because "drain/spin" is a certain length doesn't mean that portion of "exta white" follows the same timing and exact pattern. A good example of this can be seen by looking at the "custom" cycle. crooks101 already noticed that "custom" doesn't use more water if the additional water function is choosen in the firmware (haven't played with the firmware myself, but crooks101 seemed absolutely certain of this). There is one other difference with "custom". It seems like the 1st and 2nd rinse spins (assuming you've choosen a 3rd rinse via "sensitive") are very-very slow spinning, short, low extraction spins even if you choose "max spin" as your spin option. At first I thought I was just seeing the W4840 trying a failed faster spin attempt and then punting by doing a slower spin. The W4840 seems to have an extremely good ability to get a load spinning even if it's somewhat out of balance so this behavior puzzled me. I've done 4 or 5 "custom" loads now and it always acts in this way with the lethargic intermediate spins. Other cycles like "normal" or "extra white" give the clothing a very good spin-out during these spins. I'm feeling some of crooks101 frustration in wondering why Miele programmed it like this. The machine has plenty of delicate options that seem well designed, so it's difficult to understand why "custom" acts like this.

dcarch, my first thought was "how arrogant to charge $625 (MSRP) for a cookbook." But, then I started reading the reviews on amazon. I especially liked the review by the guy from egullet.com. Here are his pros and cons: Pros: ---- * Level of detail is incredible * Covers the "how" and the "why" of every detail of the cooking process * Depth and breadth of coverage is... well, worthy of 2400 pages * Stunning photography, graphic design, and even printing Cons: ---- * Many of the recipes are very challenging * Coverage of hyper-expensive equipment can be off-putting * Too tall to fit on any normal bookcase Regardless of how fabulous the book is, even the Amazon discounted price of $450 is simply out of the reach of most home cooks. If you google "diatomaceous earth and silverfish" you'll find advice on how to eliminate these. I *think* silverfish also like paper so not sure if changing the glue will work. Best to eliminate the insects. Can't advise you on where to find DE and it can be expensive in small quantities. I bought a huge bag at a store that sells hydroponic and natural gardening supplies for $80. which was a bargain compared to what I had paid for small packages. I use it to keep the ants away from my house and garden.
