prep faucet for main sink -- question about reach

I'm a little disturbed by the giant kitchen faucets out there - I think they will look oversized in my kitchen - so I'm thinking about using a prep faucet. I've read a couple of threads about this, but my question wasn't really addressed. My plan is to have a 30" x 18" single Kraus sink, so it's not a particularly large sink. The faucets I'm looking at (Kalia) have the same flow rate for full and prep sized faucets, and the full and prep versions also both have pull down with spray. The prep faucets extend 7.75" - 8" from the base -- if the faucet is 1" or 1.5" from the distant edge of the sink (right?), that means it will extend 6.25" - 7" into the 18" of the sink. That's less than half way, but I think it's more than enough.....or does it mean more problems for cleaning or something I'm not thinking of. FWIW, they have a 60" hose, which I figure means at least 30" of useful extension.
