Beautiful pictures today!! Even though winter is brutal, it certainly has it's beautiful side. Nicole, redwing blackbird is my most favorite bird!!! I don't get them here at my house, but see them up at the farm. My picture is from last year. Taking a nice ride in the snow on a sunny day. It is way too cold to even go to the farm right now.

This is from last year. DH moved the feeder pole a few feet further from his launching tree this year. He still spends hours trying from the tree, two nearby shrubs and up the pole. So far, so good. There is plenty on the in the sheltered ground feeder for him and 5 or 6 like him.

This is my latest dog. Greta. It wasn't taken at my house but at the previous owner's who decided after 1 day to return her to the shelter because she was "too big" for her 1 bedroom apartment. Hard to believe there are people as ignorant as that. Her loss, my gain.
