How much rain is to much rain?
Comments (13)I think most of us are in the same southern boat. We have had over 7 inches in the past 6 days in my area (and normal for the month is 5 and a quarter). It is times like these when I am very glad that I built those raised beds! But to answer your question, Sheri, I'll agree with the others that have said that it depends on your drainage. I kinda feel guilty complaining about my few roses. At least I can water some but they can't. The poor folks up north are having the other extreme and can't do a darned thing about it....See Morerain rain rain, this is crazy, too much of a good thing?

I mean, I have hosta that have been sitting in water for weeks to root a broken crown.... they're not rotten. Besides, where hosta is native, gets a TON of precip! I personally think they've gotta be loving it. We've had 2" in the last 24 hours!...See More- 7 years agolast modified: 7 years ago
