February 2015 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (12)Hi. In January, I did manage to get one big top quilted and bound. Feels good to have it all done. Two more big ones to go. (thought it was just one more...my mind is scrambled!). Hopefully, will get another full-size top quilted in February. That`s about it for me. We are painting throughout the house and everything is "ìn slings"......as my mom would say. It's unbelievable how much stuff you manage to accumulate. I will be sorting it and trashing some and donating a lot. We have clothes that we haven't worn in years. Some people would be so happy to have them, so why have them hanging in the closets gathering dust. I feel ashamed that I have kept them so long. Hope all have a productive February. ~Geraldine...See MoreJuly, 2017 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (8)Well, I never did goals for June although I did do a baby quilt and 2 receiving blankets for my niece. I've pulled up the directions for the July block so that will go on the list along with a lap blanket with Gingham Cats for a friend. I need to complete something for my nephew's new baby but that may be more along a crafty thing - not so much a sewing thing. I have a couple of other ideas that would make good Christmas gifts for my grandsons but we'll see how the month progresses....See MoreOctober 2017 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (7)12 greats! Wow! Congratulations! I think we will be stuck at 2 for a very long time. Sewing for October? Just last night I put away the one(s) I have been working on, or at least I cleared the kitchen table. Next weekend is Cdn. Thanksgiving and at least one family be coming for dinner. So really must do some cleaning. The basement redo is in limbo until the insurance people come to do an estimate. Then the challenge will be to find a contractor who can fit us in. Over 6000 homes were flooded, so these guys will be plenty busy. I had wanted to do some Christmas sewing but first I have to find my fabric. I know it is here somewhere in one of these rooms. Stuff everywhere! But sew I will, just not sure on what. Theresa...See MoreDecember, 2017 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (4)Yes, water can create problems! Our water heater has been broken for two weeks. Even though we are in FL, the tap water this time of year is pretty cold! We've been having "pioneer days" - heating water on the stove and pouring it in the bathtub. New WH is supposed to finally be installed Monday afternoon. Who knew it was so hard to get a WH replaced?! Goal-wise, I need to crochet 9 bookmarks. One is nearly done! That's my only real goal this month. I have two large tops ready to load and quilt so maybe they will be up next after the bookmarks. Donna...See Morejackier123
