the rocks are discolored because the water level is so far down. This is at the lake I do some of my walking, when I walk with Lisa. From my house, it is a bit further than I want... and along the bike trail, rather than the pedestrian trail.

The goldfinches have arrived! We have to wait a while for them to live up to their name.

Goldfinches are probably our most numerous clients year round.

Since moving to Florida, I have had zero finches; even during these mild days.

I hope there is a special place in hell for someone who would just abandon an animal like that. She's beautiful (not that it should make any difference). I'd take her in a minute even if our two boy cats might object.
