No color outside to share other than black and white, so here is a pic of one of my winter projects. Crochet cowboy boot slippers, from newborn to adult.

prairie rose, those cowboy boot/slippers are the cutest! I have no talent whatsoever. I so wish I had learned to crochet or knit when I had the opportunity.

I did finish this puzzle yesterday. It was fun and kept me off the streets for awhile. Bob (or was it Jim) posted this one a couple weeks ago. 1000 pieces and 24" x 30"

Gazania, do u ever frame your puzzles? We've had a couple done and hung up, also do you share them with friends when you're done with one? After a while they can pile up!! We have a neighbor that we share with.

I was the one who completed that, virtually solo. I haven't seen any posts from Bob in a while.

We don't frame these things, we give them away to anyone who we like to torture.

It was interesting to read some of the stuff about each butterfly. For instance, these are all life-size representations. The itty-bitty one in the upper left corner is the smallest butterfly known. If you look closely, you can almost see it on the puzzle.

Susanwv, never framed any, but have given some completed puzzles to a local charity that has a guy who frames them and then they are sold at the charity's flea market booth as a fund raiser.

Usually any puzzles I buy are passed to either my neighbor or my sister in law who lives 100 miles away. Those people in turn pass them to friends or family. Most puzzles are enjoyed by 4 or 5 people before being given to either the local Veterans Hospital or a charity for fund raising.

I was out shopping today, and came home with 3 new puzzles. They were cheap, I just couldn't resist. Just what I needed, lol to add to the 20 or so I have in waiting.

Jim, I did it solo also. When my eyes started to cross after an hour or so with it, I worked on 500 piece one for awhile. Like you said, reading the names of them required a lot of effort with my cataract coated eyes. I did enjoy reading about many of them, even looked some up online for more info.

I had to use a magnifying glass to read the box-top and then to match it to the puzzle. I figure about 22-24 hours total to get it completed. Never more than 90 minutes at a time! Just could not do it.

I love those slippers, Prairie Rose! I wear slippers year round and would they ever keep my feet and legs warm now!

I keep mine and work them again, especially the ones I really like. The ones shaped like a turtle or butterfly and the collages. If I buy one I don't like I give it to a neighbor, she works it and passes it on.
