Relatively easy to grow cold-hardy fruit?

I'm in between zone 5/4 (depends which nursery centre you visit.. they seem to differ). Anyhow, winters can get cold so I am looking for cold-hardy and relatively easy-to-grow fruit varieties. I am not looking to create an orchard - just 2 or 3 (possibly 4) trees - so i guess I will have to choose self-fertile if I want 2 or 3 varieties of different fruit trees or get three of the same fruit (but different cultivars). I also want to include some blueberry and blackberry in my yard so suggestions for that would be most appreciated.

I prefer to plant dwarf or semi-dwarf varieties just so that the fruit trees to take over too space in my yard - we have the room but I have other stuff planted and want to keep some of the yard open.

I am open to ideas and I've even considered this tree sold by a local fruit nursery - Burbank
Plumcot. Are these hybrid worth it? Is the fruit good?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! BTW, soil is on the clay side (but not too heavy)
