GTKY - Random questions.
Comments (44)Enjoying GTKY, OK, I'll play, even though I'm a marketingresearchaphobe... 1. Coffee, tea or soda? Coffee only with Bailey's, Sweet Tea, please mam and Dr Pepper, the one in the 8oz bottle made with Imperial Pure Cane Sugar instead of icky corn syrup, phffthhtthhhh! 2. Do you live in an urban or rural area? Suburban, planned, golf course community owned by the city, complete with "experimental outdoor mall", LOL! I really like it though. 3. What was the last item you purchased other than food? A new everyday plastic pitcher and Pinelogs (they're all I can use due to DH's allergies). 4. Do you subscribe to a daily newspaper? No, gave that up a few years ago. Hated to do it since I'm a print designer, but it was a matter of economics, not principles. 5. Who called you on the phone last? My sweet friend, Marti. 6. What is your favorite TV show? Hell's Kitchen 7. What is your favorite TV news source? Fox, local or FNC. 8. Credit or Debt? Debit for the most part. 9. Paper, plastic or do you bring your own bags? Comments (10)Oh, Sue, don't get discouraged and think no one is interested. I'd be willing to bet that as those younger generations grow up, at least some of them will get interested in the family genealogy and will be so grateful for what you have preserved! I don't know how old your son and daughter are, but I was 21 when my parents died (they died a month apart, and my 21st birthday was between their deaths). I certainly wasn't interested in family history then, but now, at the age of 58, I am obsessed with finding out as much information as I can. Daddy was in the Army and we were relocated every 2 years, including spending several years living in Europe, so I didn't grow up near relatives, or hearing stories about relatives or ancestors. I would give anything to have access to first-hand information like you have. Ron, bless you for preserving memories for your children, too, and for starting this thread!...See MoreHow do you see the want/have lists? The send an email Link?

Comments (22)Sunny...many hugs I have completed my "bucket list", so to speak. I have had the privilege to visit all 50 states and high-lights of each state, as well as many parts of Mexico and Canada...which is all I care to do...(I do not do well with long plane rides)...and enjoyed several cruises, etc.. I loved my hot air balloon ride, and parasailing....and hope to do both again some day. I also did two of my DH and my wishes....sold our big home, and built what was to be our "retirement" house, but had to do these by myself. Unfortunately, he died unexpectedly before we got to do them together. One thing he wanted to do was drive the highway to Alaska...but I do not even want to travel by myself, other than short tours. One thing that I "considered" was going for a NASCAR race car ride...but when I saw the molded seats (looked like child's car seats) and have to crawl in through the window because doors are welded shut, I know that desire will have to go....these old joint replacements will not bend that much....oh well.. But people, if you have dreams, please do them while you still have your spouse and both of you have your health....See Morehooked123
