How close can I plant a new stone fruit tree to a citrus tree?

I'm doing the backyard orchard thing. I am running out of room, and would like to shoe-horn one more tree in this winter (apricot on citation rootstock most likely). The problem is, it'll be pretty close to an established tangerine tree/bush that is about 8-10 feet diameter.

How close can I put a stone fruit whip to this without causing any problems? I can prune back the tangerine a little, I'm thinking more about root or other unthought of problems? Sun blockage wont be a problem as the tangerine tree is pretty squat, and the trees will be east-west.

Thanks!
