Ficus repot soil mistake: still wet after 1 week

Hi, we got this ficus last week.

My first mistake was to repot it without letting it acclimate to new light and environment.

Second mistake was to repot in a larger pot, with the following mix: (approximately) 2:1:1

1) old soil it came with. Very sandy soil.

2) miracle grow moisture control (!)

3) Fafard connaisseur tropical plant mix (peat based)

The roots were circling around the old pot. Most were in the top half. I didn't cut any because I thought the root ball was quite small for the size of the tree.

Bottom 3 inches of the pot is filled with clay pellets because I thought the pot was too tall for the small root ball.

Now it's been a week since I repoted and watered. The soil is still wet! The tree lost most leaves, as expected.

I read plenty of Al's posts on soil and fig and I know my soil isn't great for the ficus. My problem is that I am having a hard time finding the soil components that are recommended.

Considering I only have this available:

- small pine bark

- very small perlite

- clay pellets (hydroton)

- miracle grow moisture control soil

- Fafard connaisseur tropical mix

Should I repot or not? If yes, what soil should I use? 100% small pine bark?

Pictures for pine bark size:

1/2 inch pvc

Thank you for your help!
