New Dawn advice

Oakley

Two springs ago I planted a ND knowing it was a climber. I also planted it next to two other Roses which I can't remember their names. And a bit too close to each other. :)

I had planned on putting something next to the ND to climb on the following spring, but it kind of went nuts and grew like crazy and bloomed gorgeously. Because it grew so much last summer I never got around to training it to climb on something. I was overwhelmed at it's growth.

The first summer it bloomed more than once. Last summer it bloomed once in early summer with a beautiful flush.

A few questions:

Is it too late to have it climb, providing I trim it a bit?

I've read ND should be pruned in the winter and I've read it shouldn't. Now's the time, I'm in zone 7, central OK. Except I have no clue what parts to prune.

Would you have any idea why my ND only bloomed once? I've seen pictures of ND's that bloom all summer.

If you want me to take a picture of the bare bush I can do that.

Here's the bush from last year.
