Red and white lighthouse --- here's one. Assateague Light House from when we were there for the famed pony penning where wild horses are driven from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island where some of the horses are auctioned off to control the herd size and to raise money for the care of the rest of the wild horses. Here the lighthouse can be seen in the background as the cowboys are starting to drive the wild horses into the water for the short swim to Chincoteague Island. Here are some of the ponies after the swim. Some of the ponies are selected to be returned to the island for the good of the herd, these are "auctioned" off anyway to raise money, but the person "buying" the horse is essentially making a donation to the organization in question. This is the horse that my wife "bought", where the money was being donated to the local hospice organization. She did so because of how helpful hospice was for her mother in the preceding couple of years. We decided the foal should be named "Papa Bear" after her mother's nickname for her father.

My grandmother's china cabinet. I took this photo to try to sell this wonderful item. We are getting ready to move to Florida (much smaller space) and this should go. None of my sons wants something this old in their lives.

mamapinky there are no rules. Have gorgeous picture you took, share it. Have a gorgeous picture someone took of you, share it. Have a gorgeous picture you took using your timer function, share it. :)

I don't know of any rules...other than I think it has to be your own photo...not something pulled off the net. It can be of what you like or what's happened from that day or some other time. Sometimes people follow a theme, sometimes they don't. If I'm wrong, please enlighten me too.

Temps are above normal for this time of year, but this long string of gloomy days need some brightening up. How about a collage of past flowers and butterflies from my garden.

Jim, you seem to visit many different places but I'm puzzled that the take away photos that you share here seem to be only pix of female tour guides?

Hareball- it's funny he's black but in the sun he looks chocolate. We have called him so many different names but since we found him out in the woods he has never responded to anything but Kitty Kitty. No matter what I call him he stares at me blankly but when I say Kitty Kitty he acts like that's his name so now that's what we call him. Haru is beautiful please keep sharing pics! Whenever someone posts a cat, I can't help but post up my baby too. I am glad that you are here.

sabbath that reminds me of my black kitty, emily. I was throwing out names at her and she didn't respond. When I called out Emily, she came immediately. Apparently that was her name.

Those pix from the last few days just happen to be tour guides. I like candids and women are so much more photogenic that guys. I try to vary it in the future.

Kitty Kitty is a cute name. I've had a handful of kitties named Kitty haha Haru is silver/gray but also has hints of chocolate too. We had an all black cat at one point that looked chocolate in the sun too. I will take any opportunity to share animal pictures :D
