next time try powering down every thing computer , router, modem and let them stay off for 5 mins then power up in this specific order power to the modem and let it get fully up and lit up, then power to the router let it get fully up and lit, then power up your main pc then any others. Sometimes that will flush out the bad info and it also releases and captures a new IP. that is a good thing to try anytime you are having strange problems. You must turn the power on in that sequence though. ( I just pull the plug out of the back of the modem and router so I can plug them back in easier with out having to crawl around for the other end of the plug)

eld I think you did the right thing -you did what your heart told you to do you probably don't phone her often-so maybe felt less natural to phone yes maybe a card is the right way to go-but depends on one's culture and what one's used to do..it'd be the last thing to come to me, to send a card, upon hearing someone's devastating diagnosis. I'd feel an impulse to react-and it might be that would take me time to think about a card even. you did what felt right to you in the moment. she also did what felt right to her in the moment-which was probably doing nothing as she's so distraught yes I'd probably text very fast "thanks" as I'm almost always answering.. but who knows what we'd really do, under circumstances such and such you texted as you felt strongly and your thoughts were with her, and that's what you did. and she is in the state it's hard for her to answer..maybe to talk in any manner, whatever it might be. I must add-I don't really like talking on the phone(with few exceptions), or texting, or Skyping, or many other things I do appreciate people's kindness in whatever form it comes. I don't expect it to be tailored to me. They do what they feel right at the moment. I'm kinda sure she does too these are all details, hard to get them perfectly right. I understand that teachers work hard for little pay. I know that, and I appreciate that, and the fact that they often go above and beyond the call of duty to educate other people's children. Most people who work for a living work hard and are not always compensated adequately. That really has no bearing on what time a person sends texts, however. I'm up at 5am daily, and wouldn't dream of texting colleagues then. My work group travels extensively and there are constant communications between the group; however, in only very rare circumstances has anyone ever texted when others are likely to be sleeping (and those have definitely been work-related emergencies requiring immediate attention). I believe that most people who transact business with others know that a wee-hours text to relay some non-urgent bit of information is inappropriate. I am really surprised at the comments indicating that teachers should somehow "get a pass", because they're up early and working hard. Well, so are millions of other people (and millions more are sleeping!).
