Hey Ken, I tried to respond last night, but the GW had a few problems...so it wouldn't let me post...after I wrote a whole long response to you....Argggg!!! Anyway...I was saying earlier that I do like Spanish Moss, but since I have been here in VB for a long time (born and raised) I have always heard that it smothers the host tree...I know that there is alot of pros and cons on this matter. I am open to others enjoying this moss...but I don't really have any interest in putting any in my trees. Since I travel to Savannah and other "low country" places like Hilton Head and I can't help from visiting and revisiting the same places (since I work for the airlines) and I have seen trees that are covered and then killed by the moss. I know that some say this is not true...but my eyes and through the years tell me the story!! So, Spanish Moss is great for some people...but not me! The person who planted that Windmill farm was a very wise man or women!!! I think the market for palms will take off in the next couple of years...especially Windmills, they grow so fast. I think this is a great business to venture into...I have shared my thoughts to a friend of mine...and they are doing a fine job... :) Those Sabals and Pindos (sagos) as well, will be fine to leave unprotected after 3-4 years...That way they can get established and acclimated to the area. The ones that need protection are the newly planted trees. Last week, when we had lows in the 20's during the day..I even was worried about my trees. They have been in the ground for 16+ years. The only people that had them back then was Jungle Golf at the ocean front and the Palm man in Pungo..A few others...but we were the first in the area to push the limits!! I even have to chuckle on they way we would wrap the trees back then...LOL.. I'm glad that you like the area so much!! We all love the beach and have seen such a huge change here in the last 10 years!!! You are correct in that this will start to look like Hillton Head some day or maybe Myrtle beach...Hopefully I will be here to see this some day!!! The oval tile is on both the Ann Sacks site and the Heath Ceramics site. On the Ann Sacks site, it's listed under "Heath". so I guess Ann Sacks sells it for them, as they do other designers. With that being said, maybe it would be "slightly cheaper" to go to the source itself, although that's not going to make much of a difference as these are much more $$ than I ever expected to spend. If it winds up being THE tile, it might be worth it. basianov - the pantry cabs are actually a light grey and that tile on the right does pick up some of that color. I'm just not sure I want to do marble. I did also see the other day a 1/2"X2" calcutta marble mosaic that was stunning, so that's an option as well, but I just wonder if marble will take the kitchen in a different direction than I was planning. Interesting that some think the single space goes back to the 80's. My daughter is only 30, which means she went to high school in the 90's, at a school that was VERY academic and highly rated, in a state that has some of the highest educational ratings in the country. It was she who brought this to my attention--with surprise--since SHE was taught to double space at the end of sentences. This is a gal who knows English, grammar, and compostion (side note--I was taught that it's a personal choice to use a comma before 'and'--either with or without is correct). She was planning on going into journalism, at one time. In college her English prof told her to skip class. Suggesting that she just take the tests and do the assignments, because the class was going to be a waste of time for her--she was way beyond what he was going to be teaching. She's also the one who all her friends ask for help composing their college and grad school theses. Judging by the number of them she's consulted on, she should have a half dozen degrees by now--LOL! Anyway, the point is, around here, this is only recently becoming the norm, apparently. And, hey--thanks for the Chick-fila comments--I agree completely!!! KFC's are all closing around here, CF's food is WAY WAY better (and the stores are cleaner!), and oh, yeah--those cows are adorable!!!

I could look at your pictures all day; I'm so grateful you take the time to share them. I haven't been on here in quite a while and seeing these in my first few minutes makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!!
