Your C daylily pictures didn't load for me. Maybe you can check to see if they are there for you? Maybe delete and try again?

Thank you Sherry. I noticed when I went on this morning that signet_gw' pics had not loaded either, then later they had. I thought perhaps Houzz was having difficulties keeping up or that I needed to restart my computer.

Since it has been awhile I will delete and try again.

I have tried everything I think, to load my photos on to the alphabet threads but no luck. I have no problem loading my photos to photobucket, resizing, and clicking the html and it says copied. When I click to the forum thread I click the photo icon, click on a spot in the message, then click paste. Three or four lines of photobucket ID appear, but no photo comes up. Is there any hope of posting photos before the end of the alphabet? lol

Woody, thanks for sharing this. I would love to live in something similar. There's an old abandoned firehouse not far from me that I think would make such a cool home. Brad and I went on a garden tour in a small town close by last week and stopped to eat at a restaurant that was in an old converted church. The old church pews were used as seating. It was very cool! I had seen a write up on it in the newspaper and remembered that the owners live on the second floor of the church too. Brad and I looked at an old stone school house not long ago that was for sale. Great price but it was in very, very bad shape so we passed. If only we were ten years younger...At this point it makes me tired to even think of doing all that work. Maybe that has to do chasing grandkids though :)

Hi Diane: That photo was taken in cool and wet weather. In hot summer, it's more pink. I'm after Annie L. McDowell's lavender/lilac scent. In my garden Annie leads the Hall of Scent Fame, beating 15 Austins, Comte de Chambord, Paul Neyron, Jacques Cartier, Firefighter, Nahema, Sonia Rykiel, Frederic Mistral ... I have 30+ top-notched scented roses. Last night I sniffed lavender essence oil from a bottle (NOW brand), and had the best sleep. Annie smells heavenly like lavender and lilac. There are many studies that back up the relaxing benefits of lavender scent. Here's an excerpt from the link below: "When brain waves were monitored in a lab in a 31-person sleep study in 2005 at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., whiffs of lavender in vials changed the quality of sleep compared to controls... When people sniffed the lavender before bedtime, it increased their amount of deep sleep, or slow-wave sleep, says researcher Namni Goel, now at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Subjects who breathed the lavender, administered intermittently for a total of eight minutes at bedtime, reported feeling more vigorous in the morning ..." I agree that it's hard to tell coloring with web site photos. And even with my own camera, the color looks different from photo to photo. Before we decided on Red Oak natural, we did see it in a sample board at a flooring store. We were able to bring the samples home for a few days. Most stores only carried some of the colors Lauzon offered. There was a color I was very curious about (Pecan) and unable to find a sample of. I contacted Lauzon and they put me in touch with a rep in the area. The rep was able to send me a small sample of the pecan color (of red oak). I liked it, but we wanted our floor to be lighter over all, so we went with "natural". In our home, red oak natural looks a little darker and a little reddish as compared to the floor sample that we had. Maybe, this reddish color (as I see it) may be the "orangish" that you are describing? Samples are very helpful, but it's possible that many colors will look different in each home depending on several factors like... Natural light, artificial light, and paint color of walls. If you and your wife would like to see our flooring, let me know of the best way to contact you. Good luck with your flooring choice. You can't go wrong with Lauzon's quality! I had trouble loading my photos yesterday, and gave up after two tries. But it worked perfectly today. I think the site was having some problems for awhile yesterday. Try again. We'd love to see your photos.

Hi Debbie, you do not need photobucket. Click the photo icon just below where you would type in the place where you make your comment. That will bring you to your photos. Double click the pic you want to post and you should see a green circle spinning, sometimes it takes a minute to load.

As a side note Houzz does not like some versions of Explorer. Firefox works well. Good luck and come back if that doesn't work. I am certainly not techie but some here are.
