OK, sorry it has been more than a day, but there were some errands to run. I have some background on the porcelain, I asked my grandmother what she new of it, apparently it was given to my grandfathers father as a wedding gift from a ship captain friend of his (he was one of the head riveters at Liverpool dock) Not sure if that helps. Anyway, after carefully unpacking the box we found that two of the cups were broken, but we had an extra saucer. I took a picture of the all together with the tea pot in the center (the tea caddy, / sugar bowl thing I showed first off is not in the group photo. And hopefully there are enough maker marks from the bottom (this time the right way around!) for you to get a clearer picture. Last night the kiddo was in bed early & I went out for a night soak. The pool light was on & b/f I got into the pool I noticed a lot of waves in the pebble. Upon closer inspection you can see footprints & indentations in the pebble. This is a re-model, so I know not quite as perfect as a fresh pool, but please tell me this is not supposed to be. I haven't called the PB yet, but will today. I am so Most plaster or pebble finishes with lights on show shadows because it is hand troweled. It you take a drop light at night and lay it on your driveway or deck you'll see the same thing. The foot prints are probably from the acid wash with colored plaster you need to work your way out of the pool without letting the acid get under your feet because the extra pressure etches more. It can be removed by re-acid washing the correct way.

Well....., plenty for some is scarcity for others. :) Rarely is there so much space, funding, and time to be able to avoid trading among affordability, performance, and aesthetics. Most will try to find a sweet spot among these where "good enough" applies. Even given a full understanding of all the performance capabilities and issues, in most households there will be a limit to what can be spent and what can be visually tolerated. Otherwise, a giant commercial hood would be best for collecting every grease and odor molecule, with attendant high CFM exhaust and MUA systems. kas

No one will notice the depth. Everyone will notice the width. If you’re nuts over symmetry, why hasn’t that made your radar before the inconsequential 1’ difference. If you didn’t notice that, then the 1’ depth issue is just a burr in the top side of your saddle blanket. It won’t bother the horse or the rider, or the next cowboy over either.
