Just got back from a 50-minute walk and am heading out to the gym now. 41 and drizzling.

Thank you, Moni, your post inspired me to get out for a short walk. Just under a mile but its more than what i was doing.

I need to get back to walking again. I used to love seeing all that nature has to feast my eyes upon.

I hiked 4.7km on the snowy paths through the woods today. Between that and all the other things I did today I got in 11,663 steps.

Guilted into exercising today...

I've been doing the two mile trike ride with a dog alongside (and other exercises) but was going to skip today because it's cold. The dog noses me, then sits and looks at me. Keeps on doing this, I know she wants her run. So, I gave in. Turned out to be pretty nice, there are several people who recognize me and wave as I pass by, saw one of them today.

I took another walk last night, same route. My poor dog was so upset to be left behind but i needed a brisk walk without stopping to sniff everything. Thanks agsin, Moni, i will get my walk in again tonight. (My fav time to walk)

Last night I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes and did weight lifting for 40 minutes. Today I am taking the day off and putting away all my Christmas stuff.

I planned on going swimming at the Y, but forgot, Wednesday afternoon the pool is used otherwise... than lap swimming. Thus, I walked again.

Walked 4.7 km today. Slow going on the snowy trail but had to get out. Again I got over 10,000 steps.

We had less than 2" of snow today and they called off school. This meant that pulmonary rehab was also canceled (never have figured out the correlation - all employees have older children and all of us are 70+). So no exercise for me today and I needed it!

Broom shovelled 4" of snow off the 213' long driveway, while it's still snowing and 9F degrees. Correction: The weatherman says it's -2F...

I went swimming at the Y, just got home. Tomorrow it's sposed to be colder... and possibly snow... and that will prolly mean no school.. not that I care about the latter... but I will not want to drive. To many people here don't know how to drive on slick streets! So, I will just do a neighborhood walk then. At least that's the plan. ;)

It rained all morning and then went up to 6C but it was very windy. I went for a walk in the park with my camera. Only 9000 steps today (so far).

I want it to be 6C and rainy. But on the west coast it's still below 0C, snow and ice on the ground and more snow forecast tonight and over the weekend.

The trails are so icy that we can't run in them right now so we're having to drive down to the seawall along the ocean where there isn't as much snow and run along there and that's what we did today.. It's ok but the trails are more fun. Tomorrow I'll hit the gym and take my nieces dog for a walk, snowfall dependent. sighhhh.

Have I mentioned, I'm sure I have, that we don't do cold and snow very well? Fights are breaking out over salt. Yes, we're fighting over salt because there is a shortage of it and it's needed for the driveways and sidewalks.

It was a cold day here in Kansas and a little snow so to the gym I went and walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes on a trip that inclined up and down. Then went and did weights for 40 more minutes.

I did not exercise outside today. The temperature never got above 9 F and the wind was blowing, I went to a clinic for a carotid scan (part of my wellness check up.) This evening, went to a meeting at a friend's house; the temp was -1 F when I got back. I'm holed up for the night. I have a mild pain in my right lung region. Extreme cold air can aggravate the beginnings of pneumonia in me.

I went out this morning, for a short spurt of "exercises", LOL, aka, shoveled snow.... and got bogged down later here indoors, till I got it in my head I had to walk to the lake.

Walk over! Made a snow angel. Exercises done for Friday! :)

Walked about 5.5 km in the park this morning, the only place I can walk without having to walk in snow or ice. They clear the roads in the park, but there aren't many roads so I had to "do the loop" three times to get in a good walk.

I still have a foot injury, but I try not to let it stop me. i went to my weight training class today at the gym. Then, I drove the three blocks with my dog to the park, thinking i would just do a loop. But, my foot wasn't acting up as usual, so we exited the park and it a walk around another neighborhood.

It was in the 30's today.

Lucille, I love how your dog is your personal trainer. My dog also guilts me into things as well. But, he doesn't like the rain and draws his paw in the sand when it comes to going out in it.

My golden used to walk in every kind of weather. I was younger then and didn't think anything of it.

With this dog, I will drive the three blocks to the park because it just feels easier.
