Well, I didn't think Arnold would be good AT ALL but he's not too bad. I didn't think him lighting a cigar in the board room after the 'termination' was a smart idea.

It's a 2 hour episode with two projects. There has been one celebrity fired already.

I really don't watch much tv, just a movie now and then. I only watched a couple of previous episodes of The Apprentice simply because I found it rather boorish.

It's weird, but as much as I try to not like Arnold Schwarzenegger, I seem to get a kick out of how he presents himself.

Same show as always. They've just substituted one pompous millionaire for another pompous millionaire. As for the celebrities, uh...who the heck are most of them anyways?

We watched it years ago when it first started. Watched it for several seasons then lost interest. Now.....No way I'd put $ in Trump's pockets.

Not only do I despise what he did to Maria Shriver, I despise what he did to those of us who were employees of the State of California when he was our governor. He put us on furlough (unpaid days off) for THREE DAYS EACH MONTH. Each day is equal to almost 5% of your monthly salary. For the two-income families where both spouses worked for the State (as did my husband and I), it was a double whammy (no, not almost 30% of your salary -- still "only" almost 15%, but 15% of a combined income can be quite a chunk of change). It really sucked for the single parents who still had all the expenses of single parenthood on a lower income. It also affected everyone's retirement because you pay a percentage of your salary into the retirement plan. Less salary means less paid in, which means a lower monthly retirement pension. It also meant less paid into Social Security, which also affected our monthly retirement pay from the SSA.

After a while, Arnold decided that it just wasn't right to have us off for three unpaid days each month, so he changed it to working without getting paid.

In addition to screwing over state employees, his actions also ended up socking it to the Sacramento economy. Many, many, many businesses went out of business, because their business relied heavily on state employees. For example, many restaurants, from fast food places to really nice places, had such a drop in business because the state employees had to make do on less, which for most folks meant brown-bagging your lunch instead of going out to lunch, and not going out to dinner as often. One day during the furloughs my hubby and I wanted to go out to lunch together (we worked for different agencies) and the first five of our "normal lunch spots" had gone out of business. We did get food from the 6th place we went to. But by then, we had wasted so much time (and gas) driving from restaurant to restaurant that we had to get our food "to go" and take it back to our respective offices to eat.

People like Donald Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger should not be in control of other people's livelihoods -- they have so much money that they don't understand what it is to work for a living. Thankfully, my husband and I both earned really good salaries and were never even close to not being able to pay our monthly expenses, but so many state employees were really hit hard. Arnold didn't care what he did to the State employees, just as Donald doesn't care what it does to his vendors when he decides he doesn't want to pay them (or pays them pennies on the dollar of the previously agreed upon contract price). I have no respect for either of them, and never will. I will never knowingly do anything to help either of them line their pockets.

Arnold, I'm sorry, the "Governor", came across as a jerk, especially when he reprimanded John Lovits for addressing him by his first name.

It felt like first grade and there was no need to humiliate him in front of his cohorts.

After that, my interest waned and was pretty much gone by the time His Terminatorship lit up a stinky cigar at the end of the show.

I watched it. The alternative was The Bachelor, which I first turned on, and it was so awful I went to The Apprentice. I find the premise of this show interesting - the idea of a group of people working together to produce something and then that product is compared against the product made by the other team. The rest - the squabbling in the boardroom and the firing - is moronic.

I don't care for this type of programming no matter who's running it. Ditto for the Bachelor.

Survivor and Amazing Race are a gazillion light years better than the Apprentice with these so called "stars" and their misogynistic boss. Never ever could see how a refined woman like Maria Shiver with a great pedigree could end up with this lunk whose only claim to fame was a grotesque body which repulsed me. He's pretty homely , not that he ever was a prize. What was she thinking?

This thread has already been hijacked so I'll say this about Arnold. I don't like how he treated Maria. Beyond that. Arnold has shown what being an American is all about. He is a self made man. He came here not speaking the language very well, but learned it. He wanted something and he worked hard to get it. Body building by itself doesn't impress me, but it does show discipline and determination. Arnold accepted the challenge of what it takes to get where he is and built himself from the ground up.

It's so ridiculous I enjoy watching it, big fan of Boy George who seems the smartest one on the show.

I missed all of the 2 hours except the women in the boardroom and then one being fired. I will say, not crazy about the "celebrity" part of it. I would much prefer to see regular, working people, like on the first season.

It's kind of like return Survivor contestants, just DON'T! I'll watch next week just to see who all is on it and if I like them on the show.

The mix of celebs seems interesting and I enjoyed seeing Boy George. It's like I really wanted to see him just to make sure he didn't die in 2016!

BG is a recovering addict and Neil bringing wine into a probably tense and high-pressure situation was a really inconsiderate thing to do. BG could see Neil getting all loose and buzzed, and losing his focus.

As an addict, he was not having any of it.

I think BG handled it pretty well. Neil can't possibly not know any addicts and how it's a really big deal to drink and become altered right in front BG.

Never for me as well. Lindsey, my sister was affected by the "furloughs" as well and lost out on a good part of her salary; yes, it was a rotten thing to do. That's a fine American?

I like Arnie movies. I don't think "acting" is a talent that's worth such a HIGH income....ha ha But it is what it is. I think Californians who voted him in as Gov. to watch the state go bankrupt....may be the ones to blame. He didn't have mad skills in finance before he was elected gov. of CA.
