Anyone else glad when this year ends on Saturday? (long)

2016
go away!

I am done with you.

You were very tough on me.

Started
out pretty good, with a bicycle touring trip to Florida. Met someone
there... and fell hard... and sold/gave away a lot, and moved to
Florida in May. I skipped my trip to Germany to give this
relationship my all. Left my friends, sold my house....

Of
course, it was one of those things, when it sounds to good to be
true, it usually is.

Thus,
I came back to Oklahoma.

My daughter provided me with a nice spot to
stay for a while, and I also stayed with my girlfriend, that is going
through a divorce, and needed someone in her corner.

No matter what,
both options only showed me, I REALLY wanted/needed to have a place of my
own, and I got busy, looking at houses, and bought one.

Then
a week and a half with the grand kids, a long weekend camping and cycling
event I had committed to, and finally I was back on track, hosting
cross country cyclists.

Taking the carpet out of the only room with
carpet, then the tack down strip and baseboard... and voila, I hurt
myself, jamming a nail in to my foot. Yikes, drama to get
confirmation on when my last tetanus shot was...

The
heater is shot. The ducts moldy. Had to get a whole new system.
Not much money left.

Next
my best friend via the Oklahoma City Master Gardeners program was
hospitalized, cancer, terminal and before long in Hospice. She left
this earth really fast.

Another
week with the grand-kids, over Thanksgiving, and back home sick.
Yikes, does it never end?

I
keep contemplating calling Florida... but don't... cause why... what
will it change. However, I sure miss the good times (even if short
and few) the warm temps, and my arthritic joints wish they were back
there...

Then
Christmas!

Solo this time.

First time since my divorce. Kind of
miserable, lonely, but thanks to Skype and my sisters, my daughters
and friends I survive.

Now
my tooth hurts. The one where I lost the filling. But I wasn't able
to get that dental insurance and the medical on base again (when I got back).... and I
have none... Got a new filling put in today. I am crossing my
fingers, this one will last till the end. I am so done with
expenses!

Yes,
I am ready to put this year behind me. Things can only get better,
can't they?

Moni
