Love the photos of the shops. Once in a Victoria magazine they did a short article on a pastry shop in England called "Maids of Honor". I never forgot the photo of the shop nor the name. You two reminded me of it so I Googled - and here it is! I bookmarked the site to go back and watch the video.

Baked Alaska from my kitchen :o)

Glenda! Yummy! Never had the skills to make Baked Alaska, but have had the urge to eat it.

Double yum.

I loved baked Alaska and always ordered it when we would dine at Sardi's. It is delicious.

It was a treat for grandson, as we had cruised Alaska and he had his first on the ship. Nothing to compare to the ship's, but it was made with his grandmother's love :-)

Ones I made for grandson weren't perfect, but he sure was pleased.
