NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) recently captured this amazing Overview of Earth while orbiting around the moon. This individual image was composed from a series of shots taken on October 12 when the LRO was about 83 miles (134 kilometers) above the moon and traveling faster than 3,580 miles per hour (over 1,600 meters per second) relative to the lunar surface below. The latest puzzle. I'll admit that I did not finish this one. About 1/4 of the way into it, I offered it to the very bored looking DH (who is still nursing his new knee). He reluctantly said that he would "look" at it till the mail came. Well, I knew that once he got started, he wouldn't be able to walk away from it.

I just had to go for a bike ride yesterday... to down town, and pay my house taxes. No need to hunt for parking spaces... and after, I got a new shot of me and the BIG Christmas ornament. Love the timer function on my camera.
