My daughter made tourtiere last week. I have never been a fan so we picked a random recipe on the internet. I'm not a fan of certain spices with meat - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves. All the recipes we came across had them. We reduced the amount by half. I had to bake them at a friend's house because my oven was broken so I left one behind for them. She said it had a strong taste. We are having this for Christmas Eve - I have a back up plan of appetizers later so it's all good (except for the tourtiere, haha). Are these spices what make a tourtiere? Do you spice yours a different way? Thanks.
