I bought one for our bed after reading your recommendation and the comments about it last summer. We love it!

Our custom mattress is not deep, maybe 10 - 11 inches. Do you think the cuddlebed would work?

Oh yes the skirt is fully elasticized stretch will conform to all sizes. My very tall mattress is about as tall as it will stretch. The rv mattress is a more normal height and it fits it great. I have had it for several years now.

I'm tempted to buy one myself, but I wonder is the down warm? I can't sleep if the bed is too warm.

What is the purpose of a topper? Is it for people that prefer an extra soft bed?

It's not real down I am allergic. It's not hot at all. I sleep very hot and I actually feel cooler on these. It seems to breathe.

I originally got one to help make the mattress I had feel more comfortable. The mattress I have now has big divits sewn in the top so there's valleys and if my hip joint or other areas are in the divits it begins to hurt. So this topper helps level out the divits. I had always had a smooth top mattress and never thought about it when I had my new one custom made. I would never have bought one with the divits had I realized how much it would affect my arthritis and joints.

I got my first cuddlebed in 2012. And it still looks just like the new one . It is on the rv bed . When we sold the other rv I kept it , no way was I letting anyone have it.

Oh believe me my little dog is in love with the bed! She would be happy to strike a pose lol.

So one doesn't use a sheet on top of the Cuddlebed?

Yes I do I just fix the bed as I normally would, fitted sheet over the Cuddlebed then flat sheet and bedspread or quilt. I did not put on the blanket but with temps dropping to the 20s I may have to add it. . I am laying in bed now and it feels wonderful . I can barely feel the divits anymore . This is what I mean by divits , I don't know exactly what they are called , but I hate them. I definitely will not ever buy another one with these .

Yep, those indentations can be uncomfortable if hip lands on them. My pooches would love the sinked in feeling I'm sure. I have a mattress cover, like a pillow case with zipper, and just a little bit of padding so more of a mattress protector than a comfort topper.

I'm so tempted to buy one. So did you have to have an extra deep pocket fitted sheet? I wonder if mine would fit over the cuddlebed and top mattress both? It's not a deep pocket sheet pretty sure but not skimpy either.

I have to have extra deep pockets because my mattress is I believe 20 - 21 inches deep. The topper definitely adds to that but my sheets still fit. However the new gray sheets I just bought at Costco did shrink when washed and dried so they are tight.

I have one of the mattress envelopes on the mattress too. I just bought it and put it on yesterday. I thought it would be a pain to get on but it wasn't too bad. It zips up and the top is like a French terry fabric. It is protection for the mattress and is anti microbial and anti fungal and all that stuff. I wanted to play safe since the mattress had been in storage. If any of you want the link to that I can provide it I got it at Amazon too. Very nice quality.

Ok, I just ordered one in the Full size. I hope my fitted sheet fits over it and the mattress. Only one way to find out!

we ended up with a foam pad...about 3" thick but has gotten "hot" (even with a "cool" top) that looks like a better choice..i'll have to check it out...

I can vouch for the cuddlebed. Makes for a very comfortable night's sleep.

Geeze, I ordered that on Tuesday the 20th. and I got an email that it is being delivered tomorrow Friday "by 8pm". That's quick!

The Post Office brought it this morning at 7:30am. I never saw a postal truck come that early in the morning. I just happened to have been watching out the window for the trash pickup, as I had left an envelope with some Christmas green in it taped inside on a bag. ha.

So - my fitted sheet fit the cuddlebed with no problem. I can say I was a little disappointed that the CB wasn't as lofty and "pillowy" as I expected but I never had a mattress topper and I'll just have to find out tonight when I go to bed. It really was no trouble at all getting it on the mattress.

Did you flip it up and down in the air? And I always allow them to get acclimated and fully fluff by draping it over the back of the couch for a day before putting it on. It will almost double in height. They used to include those instructions about fluffing and letting it acclimate out of the package but I noticed that this latest one did not have any instructions.

The delivery people are using some unique methods of delivering packages this close to Christmas. We saw a golf cart and wagon, I had a uhaul truck delivery for ups yesterday.

No I didn't do any of that, I guess I was too anxious to get it on the bed:( ugh. Well it's on there now. I suppose I should go take it off and try your suggestions.

Ok, I took it off and tossed it around and fluffed, but left it laying on top of the bed for now.

In your photo, I notice the inner part of
the topper is even with the bolstered sides. Mine isn't. Perhaps it will

Raven, i am this close to getting one. Does it fit like a pillow case or does it just sit on top of mattress?

We've had one for about 3 years now. Bossy, it has a fitted 'skirt' so that all of the sides tuck in (elasticized).

Exactly! The skirt is very stretchy with elastic at the bottom and it is fully elasticized. It goes on very fast and easily. I do recommend fluffing them and let it be free of the package for a few hours or day before you put it on so it can fully get its loft.

Oh I would love that to schoolhouse! But I would be having constant allergies. They do have some with a higher loft but the price is also high. It works well for me it fills in the tufts and adds a nice layer of softness.

Have to add it, as other say, it is very easy to put on the mattress and all that drama about my fitted sheet not fitting ended up not a worry. That's true raven, for the cost it is definitely worth it I think. I paid $62 for the full size, plus s/h it came to $70 something.

Raven do you launder it? If yes, how often? A few of reviews i read were disappointed that it wasn't washable or that it fell apart quickly. Would like to hear your comments in this regard

I do wash it on the delicate cycle on cool warm and use no heat just air fluff cycle then take it out and drape it over the back of the couch to finish drying. And flip it up and down to fluff it. The people who complained used hot water and heat in the dryer I guarantee because I did that with a different product with the same type of backing and the heat affects it. I only wash it a couple times a year because it's always covered with a clean sheet so it doesn't get very dirty. I definitely don't have it dry cleaned I don't want to sleep on those chemicals.

I have a newer too-firm mattress and have constant hip pain. I am interested in a topper like this. My question is -- does it compress over time like a polyfill pillow does? Just wondering how it keeps it's "loft" from going flat...

Mine seems to have de-lofted in the center, feels like there's a depression there now. As other suggested I need to remove it and fluff it up again, I'm just lazy.

It will to some degree where you lay on it. But you still have all of that fluffy stuff under you which still softens where you are laying. It helps me considerably with the hip pain. My mattress is fairly firm, a little more than I wanted, and the cuddlebed adds a plush layer and fills in those tuft divets.

I do occasionally pull one end of it loose, the bottom, and kind of flip it up and down. It is easier than taking it all the way off. It fluffs back up easily. Running it through the dryer on no heat air fluff cycle really does and airs it out.

Raven... what type of protective covering do you use on the topper to prevent dust mite invasion and body oil build up....does Cuddlebed recommend a certain type?

My sister has one on her guest room bed which gets used quite a bit. The first few years were great but then it did compress. I have a latex topper; it has compressed only a little so far, after 3-ish years.

Stir frye..I'm fairly certain some type of washable cover other than a sheet goes over a topper otherwise its going to stink in a fair amount of time from body oils not to mention the dust mite invasion LOL.

I just have a fitted sheet over mine. If I were to put any more between the topper and the fitted sheet I wouldn't be able to get the sheet on the bed.

I have my actual mattress encased in a zip up protector. On top of that I have the cuddlebed which is fairly thick, then I have my fitted sheet. I change the sheets at least once a week. I will from time to time when the sheets are off take the cuddlebed off and run it through the dryer no heat air fluff. It also gets washed on occasion, cold water wash gentle and air dry then I lay it over the back of the couch under the ceiling fans to finish drying and get air as close as I can get to line drying. It does not get dirty, oily, or have dust mites. It stays very clean with the sheet covering it.

Raven..I hope you didn't take offense dear as I didn't mean it that way...but..I have dust mites LOL...we all do its a natural fact of life. Wash water at or above 131F kills them, but they will be back in a day or so. Nothing much to worry about unless you have allergies to them. As for body oil we all have that also hehe...I don't think you need to worry as you keep your topper covered. I just ask because I know someone that sleeps directly on the topper because she says nothing will fit on it. I did not want one if I couldn't cover it.

Raven or anyone - I was about to order one, as a gift, from your link. It states - Filled with natural down, feathers, or a blend thereof. Yours looks so lush on your bed, can you tell me what it is filled with? You mentioned you're allergic.
