Murraysmom - what is that?

He is a grey crowned crane. This is from a trip to the zoo.

Love the little black-capped chicadees. We call them Pee Wees because of the song they sing.

I wish to see, someday, a boreal chickadee. And about as close up as in the photo, please. What a cutie.

The chickadees are such sweet little birds.

Dawn, I suspect they're all Myna birds. Pretty things! All the birds on here are pretty (black capped chicakadees always make me smile!)

I hadn't thought of myna birds, rob, but you are right. They do have that look about them. Yes, chickadees are the sweetest little things. Really enjoy watching the forage and splash around in any water puddles they find.

Pretty, Annie! It would make a lovely Christmas card.

That IS pretty Annie. This afternoon I had 10 cardinals at my feeder. This was in between the invasion of starlings and grackles - hundreds of them swamping the feeder. When they invade my neighbor's feeders she wraps on her window to shoo them away, then they fly up to my place!

I did use it for an xmas card one year...I stood out in the cold snow for quite awhile before the cardinal showed up and posed, just for me!
