Comments (0)Hi, I am trying to grow a bell peppers in every color out there. I have green, red, yellow, orange, purple. So I am looking for Pinot Noir Bell Pepper or similar (shows different shades of colors one bell pepper). I am looking for white, black, and chocolate as well. Hoping to get these asap so I can start my seedlings :) My trade list is not updated because I did some large trades. I have lots of spicy peppers, tomatoes, etc. Some are in limited number, but I can offer you at least 5 seeds which is enough to get you started. I am willing to do large trades as well. Thanks!...See MoreBlack mulberry tree recommendations
Comments (1)Black mulberry trees are small with dense growth. All varieties are pretty similar from what I gather. I have Black Beauty, which has delicious fruit produced over a long season (6 or more weeks in later summer). The birds have a hard time finding the berries, which is good, but so do you, which is not so good. Because of the 'everbearing' habit of black mulberry, you never get many berries at one time it seems. In terms of shape, this depends a great deal on where it is grafted. Grafted low it can form a shrub, but they are typically grafted at about 5 feet above the ground, so they make a small, full, rounded tree with a 5-foot trunk. Sounds like you might want to search for a low-grafted one and prune it to a short tree form. For productivity you might consider a named variety of white mulberry, but they tend to be larger more vigorous trees than the black....See MoreBachuus Noir Mulberry Tree
Comments (4)I'd recommend 'Illinois Everbearing', which is certainly zone 5 hardy, and I've seen it listed as zone 4 - which is believable. It's the gold standard for fruit quality - at least for those of us who can't grow M.nigra. If you're concerned about winter-hardiness, St. Lawrence Nursery has an M.alba selection that's exceedingly cold-hardy. Stay away from TyTy, other than just to laugh at the cheesy photo-shopped pictures and the unbelievable lies they print....See MoreBungundy Recommendations, Please
Comments (22)walnut creek, wine taste is affected by many factors - terroir (the specific factors of its location - weather including temp, sun, rain, chemical composition of the soil, orientation of the planting location - processing and blending, quality of the grapes and growing season, but nothing more so than the type of grape. Grapes are like types of apples, all are grapes (or apples) but flavor characteristics differ and wine making techniques differ. Even the same varietals from the same vineyards and winemakers from one year to the next will not be the same. It's an agricultural product with variability. As said above, reds from Burgundy are made from pinor noir grapes. Whites are mostly chardonnay. Both of these varietals are grown in California and other wine regions. Does a fine California pinot taste like a fine French pinot? No, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes better, sometimes not as good. Red French Bordeaux wines are blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and others, sometimes Merlot, and whites are also blends of Sauvignon Blanc and others. Same story, all grown in the US and elsewhere. German whites are usually Rieslings but there are other varietals too, same story, also grown in the US and elsewhere. There are local varieties in Italy, Spain,, Portugal, South America, that are not grown in the US and many are excellent for what they are. Try different kinds, you'll discover new flavors and styles you like....See MoreUser
