Comments (20)OK, this opossum thought it would overnight in our back yard, but Oski definitely was having none of that and had it cornered. I hosed it to try to get it to leave, but it seems unwilling to do that and is perched on a wall for now. I took the pic through the screen. Interesting feet. Maybe it'll leave when it gets dark. I have a small cuphea species collection going because of their long bloom season and they act more as woody perennials in out relatively frost-free area. C. schumannii (pictured) is one of the less common species. It does not look quite as strange from the flower's side shot. Although, that bud in upper left corner looks like an alien ready to surrender...if you have a vivid imagination. ;)
