What's for dinner Saturday?
Comments (13)Rhizo, you eat pretty healthy most of the time and, besides, that hot dog sounds mighty good! Enjoy!! Shirley, you described your weather so well I got chilly :-) But your dinner would warm anyone's tummy. Rob333, your dinner sounds delicious. I tried frying veggies in tempura batter once and the batter all fell off. I don't know if my grease wasn't hot enough or batter too thin. Just remember being sad I didn't get my tempura broccoli!! Your son will be full of adventure stories to tell you and--I don't think kids ever get tired of the snow. Glenda, you'll be cruisin' before you know it. Sorry you didn't get the dinner you wanted, but LJS isn't a sorry second. Terri, it's so unusual to read that you're having leftovers. I wouldn't think you'd have any with all those big, hungry boys around. Glad for you that you did, though. Momma deserves a night off!...See MoreWhat's For Dinner..........Saturday
Comments (14)Holy smokes Raven!!! I get bronchitis EVERY time, I don't get just a cold. The coughing hurts like hell, and I get headaches from coughing, and my head feels like it's going to pop off. So I get to the doctor as soon as I can. You must be in total agony! I made the overnight breakfast casserole for myself. Hubby is not an egg-eater, but he thought it looked really good. He had some, and loved it. Egg isn't the main focus, the bread, sausage/ham is. He finished it off for dinner with some corn, and I had leftover ham, potatoes and corn....See MoreWhat's For Dinner, Saturday?
Comments (9)Gadgets I am not sure where I read or heard what to do with it. It was either googled or from my brother who knows a lot about saving food. I think he learned it from my DM. Tonight I had the second piece that was supposed to be my DH until he told me he was going to be gone and it was just as delicious. I just used flour and Lawry seasoning salt and fried it. I think I have about 8 more pieces. Because we are Catholic I will try to use them during lent now on Friday's because we don't eat meat....See MoreWhat's for dinner Saturday?
Comments (11)Today was a gloriously sunny day and for some reason I was in the mood for cooking and baking. I made my regular 2 loaves of bread and I had a bunch of ham stock from my boiled ham yesterday. So I made a big pot of cabbage soup and another pot of potato soup, using some ham stock. I also threw some ham pieces in the potato soup. We had a well-done roast of beef with carrots around it. I boiled some Yukon Gold and a sweet potato. While the oven was on, I made some butter tart squares. Here are the fruits of my labour today!...See Moremorz8 - Washington Coast
