Attaching a deck to pergola columns

Hi! I have frequented the forums here a lot and have benefited from many discussions and contributions from many people. Today I have questions and I hope someone can help me.

I installed a pergola 10x12 this November using 4 pressured treated 6x6 columns. The columns sit on Simpson 6x6 post bases anchored to concrete piers. The piers are 12 in in diameter, 4 ft below grade and 4 in above the ground. The pergola has 8 knee braces and structurally strong in my opinion, just slightly wobbling when pushing at the top. It is about 8 ft high from the ground to the bottom of the beams.

My plan was to remove the grass and install a patio in summer 2017 or a low wooden deck, no more than 12 in above grade. The deck idea is more manageable to me as DIYer but I am not sure how best to attach the deck beams/joists into the 4 columns and to support the spans without more supports in the center.

For the beams, notching the columns then bolts through?

For joist span, 8x2x10ft good enough?

Would the deck reinforce or weaken the pergola stability?
