I used privacy window film on part of my window. It was easy to install, comes in different styles, and let me have matching windows on that side of the house. you could put it over the entire window if you need to. Please excuse the dirty glass in the pic.

Important - glass tile is not created equally. You MUST use the manufacturers recommended setting material. If the glass has a paper backing for color the alkali in the thinset could deteriorate it. Results are very ugly. Takes a while before it shows up. Just because the bag states glass tile mortar does not mean it applies to all. Some glass requires use of mastic therefore it can't be used in a shower. Some allow the use of epoxy grouts & adhesives others do not. Some recommend waterproofing/crack isolation membranes some no. You may not be able to use whatever tile you want. Do the research as I'm sure others have done :) Unfortunately the majority of installers won't. Do not let the manufacturer tell you to follow TCNA guidelines as they specifically state to check with manufacturer. The preceding was a consumer alert:)

@tracefloyd That's crazy! LOL! There are two large windows in the bedroom, so plenty of natural light. There is also a skylight in the bathroom, and that brings in a ton of light. It's another issue, to be honest, because I work VERY early in the morning, so in the summer it's like daylight in my bedroom, even with blackout curtains on the windows. I was going to order a shade for the skylight, but if we decide to just put a door in instead, I suppose it wouldn't be necessary. So hard to decide what to do! Thanks for your input!
