Hi, you should go over to the stained glass and mosaic forum. There are several artists there who make the most amazing things out of diamond lath and or hardware cloth and mortor. They hold up in the weather as these folks are from all over. I haven't tried it yet, but its on my list (making a sculpture). Good luck with your lizard. I think its a wonderful idea! I suggest that you go to the bottom of the sg&m forum and search for scupture, or lath or Rianna (the woman who taught some of them her technique for making scupture) before you ask a general question. I saw my first lizard of the year the other day. I was crawling around on the ground pulling stinking ole bermuda grass out of my beds and felt like something was looking at me, I cut my eyes to the side and saw a reptilian face 2 inches from my face and I jumped straight up in the air and was running before my legs ever hit the ground. I finally realized it was just a lizard sitting on a leaf watching me. I felt pretty silly but my heart rate didn't slow down for 30 minutes. :-) Carol

I used to have that happen it would not recognize it till I unplugged then re-plugged the keyboard then it would find it and work, luckily I have a KVM switch on my desktop so it was easy to get to do do this, I love a wireless mouse but just can not get a good wireless keyboard that I find worth the effort so I use a wired one with virtually no problems, I mean it is on my desktop just how far will I be going with it anyway. Also make sure the receiver is not blocked or out of line from the unit.

While I think it's laudable that you don't just kick the lizard off your porch, that's probably the reason he isn't scared of you. The lizards in my yard all run when I get close, as long as they think they have been spotted (or don't want to be spotted). So we may not easily be able to control what lizard families are in our yard, but we can certainly chase them away from places we want to sit. The funny thing is, my parents have those kinds of lizards at their place. I think they look less scary than the pink geckos, but at my place, I have the anoles and geckos. They seem to live in harmony, as far as one is seen in daytime and one is seen at night. I had never really thought they would compete for the same food sources or even one eating the other, though I suppose that could be what keeps each group in check around my house. I don't see any birds actively chasing them, even when they are out sunning themselves.
