Comments (21)Fun; go to the post office 1st. Let them give you their opinion. You said that it was packed well & there wasn't much damage to the box. The $250 Barbie I got came with a slight ding on the box; opened the box & took photos as I opened it because I had a weird feeling; the box had a slice in it. I took it to post master who said there was no way the damage happened while inside that box. You do not need the receipt; the way it works is the shipper has to file the claim. I opted out because the seller was fairly new; I could have been out the barie & my money since post master said it would be tied up for a while & his opinion was that they would not pay for it. Do yourself a favor; take it all to your local post office & see what they say. Your seller may be trying to get his money back on a shipped damaged item. I don't know how it could have been broken with the way it was packed unless dropped from a great height. The outside box doesn't look particularly damaged so it wasn't run over with a truck, either....See MoreUSPS new stamps!!!!!
Comments (27)I pay all my bills by check. I like having that record on paper. I also have started making cards on Walgreens website using my own photos and they have become a big hit. I recently had the great fortune to share the life cycle of a butterfly with my 11 year old neighbor. He got such a big kick out of it. He saved the caterpillar and we watched as the chrysalis formed and then eventually got to watch the emergence of the butterfly all captured on my iPhone. So I took a bunch of those pictures and made a thank you card from the butterfly to the boy. I mailed it to him. Not only did he get personal mail but now he has pictures of our great adventure. He took a video using my phone too and I sent that to his mom so he could see that. He's a great kid....See MoreNot so helpful USPS tracking.
Comments (20)I also had problems w/USPS & another carrier. One package I was waiting for it to be delivered & all the notifications says was as we all know it's in transit, (that took days saying same thing), than arrived different locations, next its out for delivery expected to arrive by 8pm. All day I've waited at home, checking up on the status & see if there's any updates. I even called the carrier & received nothing but their automated answering machine stating they're in this big meeting call back in an hour, so I did & still same message. Next email I received was my package was going to be delivered another day due to circumstances. Before you know it by 7pm another email says it was delivered knowing it wasn't. So email them about this problem, they responded their sorry this n that. Yes, I finally gotten my package delivered & our mail lady says there were 25 other cases....See MoreNo Wonder the USPS is having On-time Delivery Issues
Comments (26)Just a disclaimer but my mailman and I used to work in the same area so he is more likely to tell me the truth. Gone are the days when he would get into a fully loaded truck then switch vehicles when that part of his route was finished. Now he has to stop and reload his vehicle. Which while it slows him, he is fine with it. He tells me that the main problem is the regional sorting center in Des Moines. There is no guarantee that what is sent to his station because of the electronic tagging of trays that it even belongs in the city much less that station. He said that even when the sorting center was in this city there would be problems but they are increasing. I do not know how many regional sorting centers there are left. Even stranger there is a regional center next door in Kansas City, KS....See Morerob333 (zone 7b)
